21.01.2022 Soap is the hero the world needs right now. Fortunately, we’ve just made a selection available from our online shop for the first time ever. Check out our new non-soap related stuff while you’re at it. And just don’t forget to wash your hands. Shop: https://x.mona.net.au/soap

20.01.2022 Would you like Mona to experiment on you? The museum will remain closed until late 2020 at least, but David’s reopening Faro for experimental dining before then. What’s on the menu? It’s a mystery, a moveable feastchanging theme each week, with an optional side of neural battering and the chance to explore parts of the dormant museum. Will you submit? https://x.mona.net.au/thefaroexperiments

18.01.2022 A note from our mainland correspondent.

16.01.2022 Board games are a home essential right now. And this is ours: Extractor will turn any tree-hugging humanitarian into a data-wrangling tycoon, and it's based on the classic Australian game Squatter. But it’s also an artwork and an exhibition catalogue, so it will totally upgrade your coffee table game as well. As will some of our best (and best forgotten) exhibition catalogues from yesteryear. Buy those toofor a limited time, most titles are 30% offand scratch your itch for an art fix. Shop here: https://x.mona.net.au/extractor

12.01.2022 Mona is (still) shut, but the feasting continues. Experimental food, juicy treats from our wineries and brewery to wet your whistle, plus art to order off the menu. Plus live musical entertainment while you’re trying to eat (good luck with that). Plus your only way in to explore parts of the shuttered museum. Plus plus. Weekends until Sunday December 20. Bookings essential: https://x.mona.net.au/faro-experience

10.01.2022 ‘The world has changed. That much we know. What we don’t know is what’s for dinner.’ David Walsh Now’s your chance to find out: we’ve extended The Faro Experiments to include Friday nights, from 21 August. Limited Saturday and Sunday lunch bookings still available.... https://x.mona.net.au/thefaroexperiments

10.01.2022 We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our friend and colleague Mike Noga, a talented musician and loved member of the Mona family. We will remember his remarkable life and achievements.

09.01.2022 A tale of two cities.

08.01.2022 Blame Mona this Mother’s Day and send your Mum one of our totally un-boring gifts. It’s what she needs right now. And nothing says ‘I love and miss you Mum’ like a scarf covered with kisses that were definitely not made with a mouth or a book that backs up her blind faith in your finger paintings. And if Mum hits the roof you can blame it all on us. Shop now: https://x.mona.net.au/mothersday

06.01.2022 ‘Mona opened ten years ago. That matters, because I have ten fingers and you, very likely, have ten fingers, so we count in tens. Our tenth anniversarythat’s a big thing to us decimal creatures, and it’s been made a bigger thing due to COVID-19. We’ve been forced to pausewe are thinking about the last ten years and the next ten years. The world won’t be the same, so Mona shouldn’t be the same. How it changes depends on how the world changes. Ten years ago, we were all dressed up, with no place to go. Now we are naked, wondering what to wear, so it’s a little embarrassing that everybody is watching. But for Mona, any future fits. We’ve made such a mess inside the museum it won’t be before October, but we’ll be back with bells (and lights) on.’ David Walsh, Mona Subscribe for updates: mona.net.au/subscribe
