21.01.2022 Hi everyone. As you can imagine we have been closely monitoring the news today regarding the latest situation on Coronavirus (COVID-19). It's obviously a really new situation for everyone and we are in discussions as to the implications for us at both the MonSTaR Cup and MonSTaR Ball. 21.01.2022 Fantastic to see Professor Justin Yerbury honoured with an AM. Justin spoke at our MonSTaR Ball in 2017 and is still leading his MND research team despite battling the disease himself and is now unable to speak or breathe unassisted after undergoing a tracheotomy and laryngectomy. You will receive a text back with a link, click the link, complete your email and registration and you can bid! After the cancellation of this year's MonSTaR Cup and B...all on Monday, we have discussed whether we should run the online auction. We very much appreciate that these are difficult times and everyone's personal, business and financial situation is different. We are also aware that our beneficiaries rely on our funding and many of the children and those with MND who we support are even more vulnerable in situations like these and their needs are still as important as they ever were. We do appreciate that some people may not be in a position to support the auction and we completely understand. However, if you are still able to bid, we and our beneficiaries would very much appreciate it. 10.01.2022 We are thinking of everyone today who would have joined us for the 2020 MonSTaR Cup and Ball. This would have been our 14th consecutive annual event and we were so looking forward to seeing all our friends and supporters for what we hope would have been another fabulous celebration and fundraiser. While all our lives have been turned upside down over these past few weeks, we send you our love and thanks for everything you have done to support MonSTaR. Hopefully once this is ...all over, we will see you again - either on the golf course or over a glass of bubbles, wine or beer as we all enjoy catching up & celebrate being together again. 06.01.2022 Many of you will remember Maddie who we featured at the 2019 MonSTaR Ball. We are so delighted to share that Maddie recently started Big School and is loving it! Pictured here with her big sister Matilda, she is in her special wheelchair which was purchased with MonSTaR's funds. Thank you SO much to everyone who has made this possible for Maddie and her family. Since last year's ball, work has been progressing behind the scenes with the funds raised towards Maddie's ramp and deck for her home. Our amazing supporters Dave and Dave from Oricon Developments have volunteered countless hours working with Maddie's family alongside NDIS funding, The STaR Association and other suppliers to get the project underway - it is no simple task! Look out for more updates coming at this year's MonSTaR Ball...

06.01.2022 In anticipation of the directive expected on Monday regarding events for over 500 people, we are considering options for the MonSTaR Cup and Ball scheduled for Friday 27th March. Everyone who is either a golf team captain, golf/table sponsor or has bought individual dinner tickets should have received an email today asking for your input to help us make a decision by COB Monday. If you have any questions or if you haven't received the email, please contact [email protected] or call 0432 719210. Thank you again for your patience and support while we try to determine the next steps.

05.01.2022 In light of the current uncertain times, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the MonSTaR Auction. Whilst we recognise the need to raise funds to support our beneficiaries, we also appreciate that many of our supporters will most likely have more pressing matters to deal with. After discussions between the MonSTaR Directors, we feel that at this time, this is the right decision. We offer our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has both donated items and/or bid on item...s up to this point. All bids placed so far will be removed. We will be monitoring the situation closely and will be in touch with item donors to see if they are happy to continue to support the auction when we are ready to re-launch. Notwithstanding what we are facing, Australia will recover and at that point we will reconsider offering our auction items again. Thank you for your continued support and your understanding. 02.01.2022 To all our MonSTaR Supporters, We are extremely sorry to advise that we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 MonSTaR Cup and Ball on Friday 27th March. This includes both the golf day and the evening function. This follows the official Government directive banning events of over 500 people due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) and further developments over the weekend regarding smaller events/groups. After considering all the factors and wanting to ensure that e...veryone remains safe, we felt cancellation was the only reasonable option. As you can imagine, we are shattered that we can’t hold the event this year - the first time in 14 years - and we are extremely grateful to everyone who has so generously supported this year. ONLINE SILENT AUCTION WILL STILL HAPPEN! In the meantime, we still plan to run the online auction and we would LOVE your support to ensure we can still raise funds for our beneficiaries for whom this money is critical. We will post the link once the auction goes live - hopefully later this week. The auction will still close on the evening of Friday 27th March. Once it goes live - bidding at any time is welcome and strongly encouraged! Everyone who had already bought tickets should have received an email regarding the next steps.
