24.01.2022 To the Moranbah Community, It’s been a tough few weeks for all Australians as we’ve each played our role to help stop the spread of (COVID-19). Thank you for being patient with us as we’ve implemented the restrictions required by Government and relevant authorities to help keep everyone healthy and safe.... This has limited our services in recent weeks to urgent and essential treatments only, but I’m pleased to let you know restrictions are being eased by the Government and we’re now able to attend to a broader range of patient needs. From Monday 27 April we’re again taking appointments for a range of important preventative and other treatments, among them examinations, fillings, non-surgical extractions and denture procedures. This is in addition to being available to support any emergency dental needs. Our priority remains the safety and well-being of our patients, our people and the community. We continue to implement a number of standard and COVID-19 specific measures to help minimize risk of exposure within the practice. To speak with us about your dental care needs or to book an appointment, please contact us today on 07 4941 7336 or via email at [email protected] We hope to see you again soon The Moranbah Dental Team

22.01.2022 To the Moranbah Community, In line with the latest clinical and regulatory advice to the dental profession, and to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, we’ve made the decision to postpone all non-urgent routine dental treatment, until after the pandemic has been controlled. This means moving forward, we will only be seeing patients experiencing symptoms of pain.... If you have an urgent enquiry, please contact the practice on 07 4941 7336. The Moranbah Dental Team

20.01.2022 Without the consultation of your dentist you could potentially cause irreversible damage to your teeth and gums. Know your facts before deciding on bleaching options without the opinion of your dental professional.

14.01.2022 ROOT CANAL - A root canal is the treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. Root canal has always been a taboo subject with many people fearing what’s involved and being traumatized by old wives tales. HOWEVER, in modern dentistry we aim to make treatment as pain free and cost effective as possible. ... When a tooth’s nerve tissue or pulp is damaged, the tooth breaks down and bacteria begin to multiply within the pulp chamber. This can cause an infection or abscessed tooth and if left untreated by a dental professional it could potentially cause severe pain, further infection, facial swelling AND even in some cases lead to death. If you are experiencing any symptoms or sensitivity with your teeth, book for an exam today. The best treatment is prevention.

As the situation with the Corona Virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has evolved, we have introduced precautionary measures in our practice, to minimize the risk of exposure. Some of the measures we regularly adhere to, or have implemented specifically for COVID-19 include: Standard infection control procedures to reduce the spread of any infection; The use of personal prot...ective equipment (PPE) for all treatments such as standard level 2 surgical masks, protective eye-wear and gloves; Strengthening our cleaning procedures, including actively promoting the regular use of antibacterial hand sanitizer and surface wipes; and Reminding our staff of personal hygiene measures and our Infectious Diseases Policy. We’re also currently looking to implement touch-free temperature checks for our staff and patients. In addition, we’re ensuring that patients and workers who are deemed high risk, according to the Government’s advice, do not come into the practice. In line with this we ask that you please ring us today to reschedule your appointment if you: Have had contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19 Have returned from mainland China, Iran, Italy or Republic of Korea in the last 14 days Have arrived in Australia from overseas as of 16 March 2020 Are feeling unwell with flu like symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath or sore throat Please note that this list of high-risk places may change as the global situation develops.
