25.01.2022 Wow.... The Reserve Bank has just announced another 0.25% reduction to interest rates. Now we wait and see what the banks do!

24.01.2022 Very promising initiative by the Liberals, will be interesting to see how it develops. Basically the Government will take the place of a parental guarantor, with the housing loan written through normal housing finance channels, with preference to smaller lenders to increase competition.

21.01.2022 Breaking News! The lenders that will have access to the Federal Government's new First Home Loan Deposit Scheme have just been announced. For eligible First Home Buyers, this means that they could purchase with deposits as little as 5% of purchase price without the need for a parental guarantor, or mortgage insurance. The Scheme is available either through direct application to the lender or via the Broker channel.... 20.01.2022 You may be aware that Royal Commission into Banking has recommended that commissions paid to brokers by banks are scrapped and that consumers are to pay a fee instead if they want our services. This is wrong on so many levels, and will only increase power to the banks and reduce competition. I encourage you to go to this website for more information, and please support the broking industry and your financial future by signing the petition and emailing your local politicians. The website has made it very easy to do this and will only take a few minutes of your time. Thanks for your help!

13.01.2022 I love it when a plan comes together! Here is a lovely email received from a happy client this week: Roni, I am just writing to thank you for all your help in setting up a development loan that is allowing me to move out of my (duplex) home and, through the purchase of the duplex next door, build three double storey residences.... I am well aware of how much effort you had to put in to get the loan on my behalf. There were quite a number of complications that you had to sort through. My being self employed didn't help, neither did the fact that I like to do all my own tax returns (even though I am not an accountant), or that a large part of my assets are in my self managed superannuation fund. In addition, the banks seemed to struggle with the concept of building three properties across two existing land titles. I am almost certain that I would not have been able to get a loan if I had not had your help. Another positive aspect of your support is the low interest rate you managed to obtain for me. My past experience in dealing with banks is that I would not have achieved such a low rate if you hadn't brought your influence to bare. This week I am moving out to a rented property for 12 months whilst building proceeds. So thank you very much for your help in getting me this far! Regards, David

It has been developed by a building company as a community hub for their surrounding housing development project, and it is refreshing to see this as an alternative to the tightly packed housing projects that have become the norm.

08.01.2022 So.... Reserve Bank interest rates just dropped again! Good news for those with home loans, not so much for those with investments. If the full rate cut is passed on it could save $50 per month for every $100K of your home loan. Good news/bad news.... what do you think?
