20.01.2022 For Sale: Going back in time when we had to clock on and off at our workplace, we have a time clock for sale. This collectable has a broken face but otherwise is in good condition. The mechanism is open but has no key (key can be obtained from a lock smith). Due to the workings of the clock we are not sure whether it is in working condition. A great item to add to a collection selling at $50. "Please do not reply on Facebook any queries please contact Shirley on 0409 436 019

15.01.2022 Hi everyone, we were wondering if anyone can help us out with names from this Morwell Tech school photo please. It was taken in 1963

14.01.2022 Do we have any previous Hazelwood workers who remember this beautiful mural which was on the ground floor of the admin building? The Mural was 8.5 metres wide by 2.4 metres tall and was painted by Jerry Zabenko, an artist from Morwell River Prison. The mural was presented to Hazelwood Power Station on 7 November 1994 as part of the Hazelwood Power Station 30 Year Celebrations. Eileen Jean was the Official Prison Visitor at Morwell River Prison, and was also on the Organisin...g Committee (along with her husband Ken Jean, a Hazelwood employee) for the Hazelwood 30 Year Celebrations, so that was how the Mural came into being. We are looking for help to put some names to faces on the mural. The information we have so far is: The picture of the gentleman with the Stock Hat and stock whip, we have reached consensus is Alf Ronald, the farmer who owned the land that the Hazelwood was built on. Many will remember Alf driving around the paddocks in his Rolls Royce. We believe the gentleman with the hard hat and drawing in hand is Campbell Hughston, Construction Engineer, Hazelwood. The person operating the controls in the Control Room picture could be Jock Ure. The grey haired gentleman with glasses is Sir Willis Connolly SECV Chairman from 1956 to 197I as this matches with his Retirement Picture in the SECV Annual Report 1970/1971. Other names that are possibilities on the mural are William De Campo (Manager, Latrobe Valley), Bert Mee Stations Operation Engineer. It would be wonderful if we could identify the ladies, as well as the Chem Lab Employees. Please help us if you can positively identify any of these people. We would also like to hear from anyone who has a copy of any literature that was handed out at the presentation. If you have any information that can assist us please contact Shirl

Eac...h survey relates to a Local Government area, so please feel free to respond to the survey relevant to your area. Please know your information is totally confidential and will not identify you. Please note that this survey is not a way to report a specific crime. Do you have photos, videos... or stories from your visits to this iconic family entertainment venue from the last 4 decades? Wyncity Morwell is celebrating its 40th birthday this year and manager Warren Stewart is on the hunt for memorabilia that can be displayed in a forthcoming historic exhibition to celebrate the occasion. If you have photos, old trophies, bowling shirts, shoes, score cards, handbills- anything might help tell the story of the bowling centre, Warren would love to hear from you! Of course the venue has has many incarnations and transformations over the years, since opened by the Hillenaar family in 1980, with an adjoining roller skating rink.
