25.01.2022 Everything we do is done through play and we don’t even know that we’re learning!

24.01.2022 We love going on excursions. We can expel some energy, learn to trust our bodies and step outside our comfort zone.

24.01.2022 At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. Lest we forget

23.01.2022 World space week is being celebrated from the 4th to the 10th of November. We familiarised ourselves with the planets in our solar system today.

22.01.2022 Hands-on, gooey SLIME, to explore and experience. Oh it was a messy (but satisfying) activity. It awakens all the senses and engages the brain and fine motor muscles.

22.01.2022 The simple pleasures of bubbles! Sometimes its nice to just enjoy the moment - without pressure, agenda or responsibility.

22.01.2022 What pictures can we create? Any form of fine motor skills help to strengthen our finger muscles for writing later on. :)

20.01.2022 Free play and natural movement is so vital in the early years. It builds the foundations for social, physical and mental skills, empathy, communication, thinking and more. Academic skills are being pushed too early. :(

20.01.2022 We had such fun creating our very own fairy garden, using natural materials (and a little magical glitter!). This activity allows children to further develop their fine motor skills, pincer grip (needed for writing), social, language, patience and independence skills, following instructions and taking turns, using their imagination freely, developing independence and building on nurturing instincts by being gentle and remembering to water the plants!

19.01.2022 Play is serious work for children. They learn so much in so many ways by just playing!

16.01.2022 Connecting with nature can happen in so many different ways.

15.01.2022 After easel painting, flower petals were painted! What a wonderful way to spend time in nature.

15.01.2022 Children learn in their own time, if given the space.

15.01.2022 Listening to children’s voices and making their ideas become a reality. Yup, there’s such a thing as a stained-glass-window digga (excavator)!

13.01.2022 Some days, its so relaxing to just grab some pencils and pens, and let your imagination run wild!

13.01.2022 Our imaginations flowed freely as we created some amazing monsters at the library today...

13.01.2022 Great infographic from ParentlineQLDNT.

12.01.2022 Treasure those cuddles and snuggles.

11.01.2022 We are very lucky to be able to explore such a beautiful part of our mountain. The Tamborine Mountain Botanical Gardens are a favourite spot for young and old.

09.01.2022 Nothing beats fresh air, friends and nature!

09.01.2022 Its beginning to smell and look a lot like Christmas.

07.01.2022 So exciting to receive some new resources from Educating Kids. Can’t wait to use these.

07.01.2022 We love letting our creative juices flow with so many different colours and mediums. Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up. Pablo Picasso

06.01.2022 We cant always just cuddle the chickens. Their well-being is just as important. And of course, we wash our hands after every chicken encounter.

06.01.2022 School holidays, no little ones and plenty of time to build, create and collaborate!

05.01.2022 Every child will develop when they are ready.

04.01.2022 Using the Woolworths seed pods, we are learning about growing seeds, life cycle of a plant, nutrition, hygiene (especially when potting), cooking skills (once theyre harvested!), patience (some take FOREVER to grow), herbs and flower names, language and letter sounds, compassion and failure (some seeds just wont grow). We are excited to watch them grow and develop from a seed and cant wait to see what they grow into!

02.01.2022 Nothing beats building a cubby in nature! Working together and imagining - surrounded by trees, wind, sunshine and chickens!

02.01.2022 The chickens are part of our daily routine!
