24.01.2022 2018 Trekkin in the Hills, our annual event to celebrate Family of Rotary. We ventured over the hills to Glen Valley and the fantastic Payne's Hut. 20.01.2022 Rotary participating in the Mount Beauty ANZAC day commerations. Lest We Forget

20.01.2022 Under our current lockdown it’s difficult for most of us to do anything. Fundraising is tricky and even spending our funds within the community has quietened down! But under the guidance of our new and very enthusiastic President Maria Rotarians are still meeting and making plans.

20.01.2022 Mount Beauty Rotary Club held their changeover meeting last Monday 27 July at Rois in Tawonga. Mark Lucey, our President for 2 years (a first in the club's history) handed over to Maria Pantling. Guests on the night completed our necessarily small gathering of 20 and were Mark's wife Lisa and their 2 girls Emma and Sara and Margaret Ricklefs, wife of our late member Merle. Some Paul Harris awards were made by Mark Lucey to 3 very surprised members, Sue Randell, Jane Secker and Jane Zagorski. Then the tables were turned and Mark Lucey received one from the new President. A new committee was formed, speeches were made and because you should always start as you mean to continue, we 'danced' to the tune of Simple Simon says! Everyone left with a smile on their face.

19.01.2022 Please Alpine Shire Council could we have a new sign for the entrance to Mt Beauty? Ours is pretty average.. maybe bring it in line with the other towns like My...rtleford and Porepunkah! I’ve tried to send a request to the shire but it wouldn’t go through! Does anyone know Peter Roper? Maybe you could ask him ... it would be great for the business district..,in these times. See more

15.01.2022 Last night the club had the pleasure of hosting one of Mt Beauty's Aged Care Advocates explaining how they add a difference to the lives of of some of our senior residents by offering an Advocacy service. Thanks Helen it was very informative.

15.01.2022 Versatility!! The club recently completed a project where there was no cooking a BBQ or traffic control involved, although there was a lot of standing around holding shovels. After being approached by the Mt Beauty Neighbourhood Centre, the club decided to capitalise on the extensive skillset that prevails within the club and embarked on a building project to establish a new path to the entrance of the relocated Anglicare office. ... The project was completed this week and highlights the diversity of the club in its ability to offer assistance to the local community. Would you like to get involved?

14.01.2022 That was a hot day! Rotarians and their buddies assisting at the food/drink/ice/ body spray stops for the Audax Alpine Classic on Sunday 24th January. This is a major fundraiser for our group and it’s always great fun to be a part of the event. Many of our club were involved-just didn’t catch everyone in the photos.

12.01.2022 Collaboration Delivers Project Back in January 2020, after bushfires had surrounded the Ovens and Kiewa Valleys for nearly two months fillings houses and community infrastructure with smoke an idea was raised at a meeting of the Mount Beauty Rotary Club to donate some air purifiers to Alpine Health the operators of hospitals and aged care facilities in Mount Beauty, Bright & Myrtleford. The three local clubs agreed to seed funding to kickstart the project, with Mount Beauty... being the project manager. Plans were halted slightly when the COVID-19 pandemic struck , but pushing forward with the plan the project now became attractive to many as the air purifiers not only could remove smoke but as they have HEPA filters, pathogens as well. With great assistance from the District 9790 Bushfire Recovery Fund the project was now looking like coming to fruition. With assistance from the RC of Yarrawonga/Mulwala, Heildelberg and Freemantle WA a total of $22,500 was raised. To complete the project, Mark Lucey President of the Rotary Club of Mount Beauty recently handed over 45 Breville air purifiers to Nick Shaw the Corporate Services Manager of Alpine Health. The success of this project showcases that a collaborative approach between clubs and district can deliver far greater scale than the initial concept ever anticipated.

12.01.2022 MB Rotary have installed new exercise equipment in Mount Beauty and Tawonga.
