25.01.2022 Yes - we do service work but not miracles! Look what a customer did trying to fix a lock!!! We were asked to fix-it -up, other than plating the aluminium not much more to be done. The customer did not understand that a mortice lock is different to a surface mounted lock - would have been better to send us the photo of the lock before they went to Bunnings and started drilling the door stile - we are here to help, even if you want to DIY.... but after you have drilled it there is no magic wand to make it better, send us a photo and call first is my message for today - take a leaf out of the dial before you dig service, we are here to help

24.01.2022 REDUNDANT ROLLERS we face this all the time. Old door still in good condition just needs some love and care to bring it to its full running potential Here is an old roller (top LEFT) depending on the skill of the customer several options exist to get it running again - DR206 (which required the fins on the carriage to be ground off) https://www.mrwindows.com.au//stegbar-door-rollers-alumin/ - DR1 rollers with punch axle - simply drill out the old rollers insert a DR1 and us...e a punch rivet to punch rivet to secure https://www.mrwindows.com.au//rollers-doric-suit-aluminiu/ - 31349 rollers pair/https://www.mrwindows.com.au//stegbar-door-rollers-alumin/ So there is always a solution - no need for a new door, despite what some say even if the track is gone. 15.01.2022 Obsolete hardware is an every day occurrence for the Mr Windows team - got an old Bradnam's friction foot that looks like this (image 1) - then you need to replace it with a DB0721 (like ours in the store - image 2) Not sure what you have and if you can still get it! 15.01.2022 As well as our daily counter customers, we pick, pack and send around 30 components for aluminium windows and doors all over Australia. Here's Craig hard at it today, he had 44 sales to pick and get out the door today. Did you know, all stocked items are picked and shipped within 24 hours, whether customers buy online, or send us an image and we ID the part - So, if you can't see it on the website send us an image and we will do our best to ID the part and direct you to it in the store, or order it in. 13.01.2022 After 3 days of packing and unpacking we have settled in to our new factory WE ARE SETTLED - we are now located at Unit 14, 29 Blanck Street, Ormeau CALL IN AND SEE us (Helen, Craig and Heather) are ready to be of service

12.01.2022 Sometimes to reproduce the original hardware we have to make modifications:- 1. for strength; 2. because it is more cost effective if we can use an off the shelf component 3. because we can't source components... Here are 2 such 3D prints - old Robb & Brown components, Handle had to grow to be able to use a wire spring Carriage had to be modified to use an off the shelf roller There is always a way, we just need the support of our customers to access the original parts, and test them for us before we go in to production and the tenacity of the MR W team to make it happen - if you have a need get in touch with the team

08.01.2022 New to the store is the strike for the old Wunderlich screen and sliding doors - this has been tested by one of our customers and is 3D printed Thy come white - but easily painted whatever colour you want - super strong and a great result for this long obsolete door strike Loads of other door and screen strikes available in the store

02.01.2022 Now holding on hand the A & L windows stock including their high performing sliding door rollers. People often ask us about their window rollers - the corner sash caps (are essentially the carriage receiver) for the small guide (that is the roller). If your corner sash guides are fine then you just need the roller guides and the windows will be sliding again.
