24.01.2022 Little Visible Delight is a compelling collection of dark fiction edited by S.P. Miskowski and Kate Jonez. It includes tales by such luminaries as James Everington, Lynda E. Rucker, Steve Duffy, and the aforesaid editors themselves. If you'd like to read my review, it's on the blog now. http://strangerdesigns.blogspot.com.au//review-little-visi

22.01.2022 The school reunion had been a disappointment from the start. I was at a loose end, having made the long drive up from the west country earlier in the week. I was staying on the outskirts of the town in which I grew up. The very outskirts, in fact, in the very cheapest kind of hotel, on a main road near the motorway. I had my rather lowly standing in the firm to thank for that.

21.01.2022 The official launch of DYING EMBERS, my debut collection of short stories, will be held on Saturday June 28th, 4pm, at Gleebooks, in Glebe in Sydney. This is a double Satalyte Publishing launch, with Andrew J McKiernan's LAST YEAR, WHEN WE WERE YOUNG also being officially released. More details soon, but make sure you keep that afternoon free! By the way, if you can't make it, you can always pop into the Supanova Pop Culture Expo (Sydney, June 13-15) where I will be at the Satalyte Publishing table. Book signing will ensue!

19.01.2022 I dared not open the door, lest whatever was inside should escape. As I looked on dumbfounded, the noise decreased, and the swirling seemed to escape somehow from near the loading bay doors. Presumably the insects, if that's what they were, had found a way back to the wild. A solid shape loomed, making me step back in alarm. The doors burst open. Clearly Mr Pritchard had not expected to see me.

18.01.2022 Ill At Ease 2 is a superb collection of seven tales of urban unease, from Mark West, Stephen Bacon, Neil Williams and others. Read my review, new on the blog; http://bit.ly/1eijR5U

16.01.2022 I shuddered, recalling the slabbed edges of the hole, like teeth. My mind had created a monster in the next terrace. http://t.co/5ypiezUXpg

15.01.2022 Shivering now in the cooler temperature, Pendleton noticed that while gate 70 looked entirely normal, gate 71 seemed to be a temporary affair. A large, torn piece of cardboard with ‘71’ hand-written in red had been taped to the wall next to a set of shutters. It all looked rather incongruous, more suited to cleaning staff than paying passengers.

09.01.2022 We've finished final edits for Dying Embers, and I'm looking through the pdf. The layout is spot-on, I'm very pleased! Many thanks to Stephen Ormsby from Satalyte Publishing for putting up with my pedantic nature! Only 11 days to go...

01.01.2022 The first review of my debut collection of strange stories Dying Embers, published by Satalyte Publishing, has appeared over on the Amazon UK site; "In these tales lie time-bombs, ticking away, marking temporal space between the caustic effects of events past, and the slow, fateful reconnections of victims and malefactors. M.R. Cosby establishes through beguiling prose a sense of approaching atonement for a sin undeclared or unconsciously committed, and in some way address th...e ubiquitous injustices that plague our everyday lives." http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dying-Embers-M-R-Cosb//ref=sr_1_1
