18.01.2022 Happy new year everyone! We are busy finalising preparations for semester 1, but here are some key dates to note: - Holiday social sessions will start on Saturday February 1, and run over five consecutive Saturdays. Sign-ups are already open on our website. For those new to the club and thinking about membership for semester 1, the holiday sessions are a perfect chance to try out our sessions. - Semester 1 membership sign-up will open on Wednesday February 26, the same day as... Clubs Day. We strongly recommend setting a reminder for this date, as memberships sell out within a few days. Membership details will be released later, and sign-up will be via our website or at our Clubs Day booth. - For those interested in joining our competitive training program (CASS) - stay tuned. We will be releasing some information closer to the start of semester - as always, the club will be offering generous support to serious badminton players. 11.01.2022 Attention competitive players! As you may know, MUBC has a history of generously supporting student athletes through the Club Athlete Support Scheme (CASS). Ambitious badminton players are invited to sign up for our semester 1 tryouts on Saturday March 7. Athletes selected into the program will receive the following benefits: - 2 training sessions per week over 12 weeks - Subsidies on tournament entry fees and bonuses on prizemoney - Full reimbursement of stringing costs... - You do not have to be a current UoM student to try out - we may select a limited number of non-students who demonstrate a very high level of play. Furthermore, we have removed the requirement to pay membership fees upfront. Membership fees may now be paid upon selection. (Semester fees are $200 for current UoM students and $250 for others.) 08.01.2022 Hi everyone, hope you've enjoyed the badminton this semester. Just a couple of quick announcements: - The last day covered by semester 2 passes will be Sunday November 3. After that, social sessions will run every Saturday until December 7. The cost for the holiday sessions will be $10 for semester 2 members and $15 for non-members. We will resume the holiday sessions after the new year, with the date to be announced.... - We have prepared a 2-minute survey which will help us to improve the club for next semester.
