25.01.2022 Home again?! There’s no better time to start planning and practising your home fire escape plan. There are many fire hazards that may exist throughout the home,... and it’s important you know what to do if a fire breaks out. Families who are well-prepared are more likely to escape their homes safely and without panic.

25.01.2022 Hi there, Today I’ve got some good news and some even better news! The good news is that even in the face of the Coronavirus situation we still get to support the Good Friday Appeal. The better news is, this year it’s so easy to do!... Normally, along with thousands of other volunteers, I would be out shaking tins and collecting money from generous people like you but we all know that can’t happen right now. The solution: The Good Friday Appeal Virtual Tin Shake. We know that the Good Friday Appeal unites us all and holds a special place in the hearts of Victorians. To show your support this year, please consider giving to my Virtual Tin Shake - visit: https://2020-gfa-virtual-tins.everydayhero.com/au/murchison Please help spread the word about the Virtual Tin Shake by sharing the link above with your friends and family. I would be so grateful for any donation that you are able to make. Thanks in advance for your generosity - it means a lot! Thanks Annie

24.01.2022 Condolances to the Families, Friends and Victoria Police for the tragic loss of 4 Officers tonight.

23.01.2022 WOW Victoria - you are unbelievable. During what has been a very challenging year your generosity to give for the kids has blown us away! A record $18.2 million... has been raised for this year's Appeal through donations from the community as well as an unprecedented top up by Premier Dan Andrews and the Victorian Government. This year was as tough as they come and you still came through for the kids yet again - congratulations! Grab Saturday's Herald Sun for the full Appeal wrap up.

23.01.2022 Just a reminder that restrictions have been lifted from our area but you still need to register your burns. 1800 668511 Thank you.

22.01.2022 This ANZAC Day, we take a moment to pause and reflect on those who served or continue to serve our country - the fallen and returned, men, women, young and old. Lest we forget. Image: Epping Fire Brigade, taken at last year’s dawn memorial

19.01.2022 Have you cleaned up around your property? Do you have a fire plan? Will our fire trucks fit through your gates? Under your over hanging trees? Are you ready for the coming fire season?

16.01.2022 Now is the time to be thinking about the coming fire season. Start looking around. Put yourself in our positions. Can we get to you? Those extra seconds do matter!

14.01.2022 National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to say a very BIG THANK YOU to all volunteers who give their time to helping their communities when we need them most.... The 2019/20 fire season brought incredible challenges, which we couldn’t have faced without the critical role of CFA volunteers. CFA volunteers are our friends and family and take on many roles to fulfil our mission of protecting life and property. Thank you, not only this week but the 365 days of the year you are there for each and every one of us!

13.01.2022 Does your household know what do and where to go if there was a fire? Practice the two quickest ways out of every room How they will exit from upstairs if your home has a second storey An agreed-upon meeting place outside - like the letterbox How they will call Triple Zero (000)

10.01.2022 Congratulation Ron. Hope you have a great Easter and Thankyou to everyone for your support!

OR 2) Donate to our virtual tin. Info below on how to do it! Remember Give so that they may grow! Thank you for your support!

03.01.2022 Congratulations to the seven CFA members awarded the Australian Fire Service Medal (AFSM) in recognition of their outstanding service to the community during th...e 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours. This year’s recipients are: Mr Alen Slijepcevic Mr Brian Petrie Mr Garry Cook Ms Lesley Read Mr Peter Baker Mr Stephen Walls Mr Peter Solly A well-deserved recognition well done!

02.01.2022 Almost 20% of burns admissions to The Alfred are caused by people throwing petrol or other accelerants on open fires. We are urging all Victorians to stay safe this weekend if you are around an open fire. We really don't want to come to your house (no offence)

01.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day!

01.01.2022 Congratulations to Ron Burls for winning the wheelbarrow full of goodies. Thank you to all who supported our raffle.
