Get you mentally prepared and allow you to anticipate the feel of heavier lifts as you gradually increase the weight.... 3. Allow you some practice to make sure your technique is solid before you move onto heavier weight. 17.01.2022 Dont have heavy enough dumbbells at home? Try these 5 tips to make your workouts more effective. 1. Increase the amount of reps. 2. Slow down the tempo of a rep. Try 4 seconds on the concentric phase and 4 seconds on the eccentric phase. Concentrate on the muscle that is being worked. 3. Decrease rest between sets.... 4. Increase intensity. One way to do this is to do multiple exercises in a circuit having minimal rest between exercises. 4. Do exercises that you find difficult. Best way to master them is with light weight. 09.01.2022 Consistency is key. Focus on things you are able to keep doing over a long period because weight loss goals are long term goals. My approach with clients is to first focus on their habits because habits remain constant. Bad habits can be detrimental to weight loss goals while good habits not only help achieve your goals but also make sure that the weight stays off forever.

06.01.2022 The goal was to hit 200kg on the deadlift before the end of the year, however due to the current circumstances not everything has gone to plan. I am sure others are in a similar boat with their own respective goals. How do we deal with this? We adapt and accept the things that are not within our control. Thankfully, strength is easier to regain than muscle mass plus the year is not over yet!
