25.01.2022 The caravan window opens again tomorrow night! Let us do the weekend cooking for you. @pruepetersphoto

25.01.2022 Tagalog Thursdays You might hear mum say this to us sometimes in the caravan when we do something she doesn't approve

25.01.2022 Local legend BMac dropping some wisdom.

24.01.2022 What came first? The chicken or the egg ? Doesn't matter, you're getting both in this weekend's special. It's Adobo time friends! Chicken adobo has a soy sauce base that is very popular in a lot of Filipino homes. If you have a Filipino friend, chances are, you've had chicken adobo when you visited their house! If you're a Black Eyed Peas fan, you should know that they mention chicken adobo in one of their songs! Are you having some this weekend?

23.01.2022 Please join us in wishing our Tatay (dad) a happy birthday! You may already know but the caravan that carries our food around is the result of Rani's blood, sweat and tears. He gutted and restored the old donut van from Bendigo to give it a new life and that's what you see as the home of Nanna Marce today. The whole restoration process says a lot about our dad. He is clever, very good at making things work and never giving up on anything, no matter what challenge faces him. W...e grew up thinking our Dad was the perfect frugal Asian, always upycling, repurposing and recreating things (he even made his own Jeep Wrangler out of scratch once upon a time) but little did we know that he was teaching us some of the greatest lessons in life. One thing my Dad told me that I will never forget: "we grew up in a humble home. We called it little home with big dreams"! Thank you Dad for inspiring us to dream big, teaching us to work hard while we patiently wait and showing us how to seize opportunities when they arrive. I am literally writing this while my daughter sings along to the "I am, you are, we are Australian" ad on TV and I am holding back tears thinking: I am Australian, my kids are Australian because my dad grew up in a humble home with big dreams. His dream was to do whatever it takes to provide his kids a bright future so he made the sacrifice to come to Shepp from the Philippines. He did that on his own in hopes of bringing us out here later. That was over 14 years ago and we're so grateful to be here. I'm so thankful to be here and now raising my own family and dreaming big dreams with them like I did with my parents. Happy birthday Dad! You're our hero. We still think your the perfect frugal Asian

23.01.2022 When you choose The Family (our One Plate partner meal), you are helping support projects like Poultry Project The children’s school is dedicated to improving the lives of Kenyan children. The poultry farm resides on the premises and was an established small business, but lack of investment funds had restricted its scale. 22.01.2022 It's Monday Meal Breakdown!! Is MMB catching on yet? Here's a popular one! The chicken & waffle. Family inspires a lot of what we do. The bubble waffle was from Thess, Rani and Josh travelling to Hong Kong with some of Rani's siblings and their families.... How many chicken waffles have you had since we opened? If you haven't had it already, why? JK. See more

22.01.2022 Our empty Karma Cola bottles go towards supporting the studies of 261 kids in Kiblawan, Davao del Sur, Philippines. These empty bottles are usually recycled in NSW for a refund that pay for the children's school fees and providing them school supplies. The funds raised also supports the school in ways like setting up their library and school events. How awesome would it be if we started a collective effort with other local businesses who have glass bottles and create a culture in Shepp that supports this great cause? That would be a dream come true. Should we do it?

21.01.2022 Hey! How's your Tuesday?

21.01.2022 Guess who's Lego build this is?

21.01.2022 We are breaking our green background layout to take you on a journey by the amazing image story teller: @pruepetersphoto

21.01.2022 So you love French Macarons but have you had a macarOOn? Yes, two O's. We have collaborated Aaron's Macaroons to finish the UBE adventure with a bang. Here's what we've got for this week. 1. A Macaroon is a meringue based cake made with popcorn flour, it's a very unique product cleverly made by Aaron, so definitely one not to miss. 2. Brookies are exactly what you might think it is - brownie cookies!... Last weekend's dessert specials went very quickly so if you're keen, please don't leave it too long to avoid missing out! PS fun fact: Christmas trees start to go up in the Philippines today because it's SeptemBER (the beginning of the -BER months) See more

21.01.2022 2021 FUNCTIONS / EVENTS / WEDDINGS We've had lots of emails and messages enquiring about dates in 2021. So thrilled that some of the celebrations are able to now go ahead and we've got dates booked in 2021 & 2022 already. If you need catering for your events, let us know soon so you don't miss out on your preferred dates! We'd love to bring our caravan and cook for you

20.01.2022 Hey all! We've made a few friends since I originally posted this. If you're new here, welcome. Thanks for being here and following along our family's small business. This is where we get to live out our mission of sharing love through food, from our family to yours. Orders are best placed online via our website and I've made a video below on how you can select your own time when checking out. Let me know if you have any questions!

19.01.2022 Hey hey! God morning and happy (nearly) weekend. You know what that means? Nearly time for the caravan window to open. Just a little note on orders, during the times when we are busy in the caravan, we may not be able to pick up the phone and read messages in our socials. We don't want anyone to miss out and placing an order via our website is the guaranteed way to get your order in A few more tips:... - the early bird catches the Nanna Marce time slot they want so book ahead, book early to avoid disappointment - you are able to select your preferred time at checkout, if the time slot is booked out, unfortunately the website won't let it go through and will propose another time - it can be difficult to hear on the phone when our fryers, fans and Dad's 80s music are going so please consider booking online Last but not least, our mum Thess (the owner of Nanna Marce and the heart behind all the food) is very shy but she loves it when you say hi.

17.01.2022 #ThrowbackThursday to our soft launch with family and friends just over a year ago. Our birthday celebrations stretched for 4 weeks because we couldn't decide when our official first event was, our soft launch or our first public event? This coming weekend is our last birthday hurrah, will we see you?

17.01.2022 Lumpia: Tagalog / Filipino - spring rolls. Mum is super particular with hand rolling these! We hope you feel the love when you take a bite. Still time to order for tonight, head over to the website. Link in our bio @pruepetersphoto

17.01.2022 Hey! Here's something new: Monday Meal Breakdown (MMB?) Today, we've got our singature dish, the Nanay's chicken. So first up, we've got our Mum's special fried chicken. It's the start of the show. Mum's been cooking this for as long as we can remember and the chicken was always present during special occasions all through out our childhood! ... Then we've got rice. If you haven't had mum's chicken with rice, sorry to say, you haven't had it properly. Add it to your list of things to try! Lastly, we've got slaw and for the dressing, Rani (our dad) has picked a page out of his Mum's recipe book and thought it would be good with what she uses on her achara (Filipino pickle). Have you had this meal before? Will you be having it in the near future? See more

16.01.2022 #ThrowbackThursday to our first public event and our beautiful friend visited us from Bendigo!

15.01.2022 Did anyone else appreciate that today was a Northface jacket day?

15.01.2022 This week you are meeting the legendary Marian AKA Maz. She is our sister from another mister. Here's a bit about Maz: 1. Name: Marian 2. Where you fit in the family dynamic: ever supportive sister in law to Erika / kapit bahay (neighbour). Erika's husband Alan and Marian's husband Jason are brothers @colouryourcastle 3. Your favourite Nanna Marce meal: Nanay's chicken ... 4. Your coffee order: flat white or iced Americano 5. Day job: retail assistant manager at Bunbartha Beef 6. When restrictions ease, Maz would like to travel to Canada. We love seeing the smiles on your faces when you realise that the Maz you love at Bunbartha Beef makes a cameo in the caravan too! Thank you Maz for being an awesome family member See more

14.01.2022 When you choose The Family (our One Plate partner meal), you are helping support projects like the Healing Gardens Together with a local foundation partner, OnePlate has developed a Healing Gardens project that is centred around creating organic gardens with Rwandan women, most of whom are survivors of the Rwandan genocide. ... 14.01.2022 Tagalog Thursdays This one has me in stitches

13.01.2022 STOP YOUR SCROLL! Here's something that will settle debates across the Goulburn Valley! Before iso, social distancing and face masks, a lot of you have said that lunch table discussions and hang outs with your friends have included debates on how Nanna Marce is correctly pronounced. So we're settling this once and for all.. I gathered people you might frequently see around the caravan to help me with this one! As you can see, this project is long overdue.. When I started the ...videos, Josh was still in Shepp and not locked down in Melbourne and we weren't walking around with masks on. But alas, it's finally here. Did you get it right? Kudos to the clever people who called us during trade to hear us say Nanna Marce when we pick up the phone. Tag your friends who owe you a Nanna Marce shout for getting it right

13.01.2022 Hey @georgiagattuso glad we could bring you some iso sunshine! You've got a platter of chicken coming your way. Remember to tag us in your insta stories or posts for your chance to be the weekly winner and if you have a private profile, just take a screenshot and send it to us as a DM for your entry to count. Have a great week everyone!

13.01.2022 Feelin' the love from the GV Dental crew! Thank you Jess! Also, GOT final season

11.01.2022 Hey friends! So you love Filipino food so we thought we would see if you will also love the humour and a bit of culture. Here's a Filipino comedian (you should watch his Netflix specials) who might make an appearance here every now and again. Lol bonus points if you use what you learn from Jo Koy when you come to the caravan

11.01.2022 Monday Meal Breakdown! Gluten free friends! We definitely haven't forgotten about you. We carefully try to prepare everything in our caravan so we don't cross contaminate especially for those who can be really unwell with any bit of gluten.... Have you had our gluten free food before? See more

11.01.2022 It's Monday Meal Breakdown!! Should I float MMB as an acronym? Last week we had Nanay's (Mum's) chicken. This week we have Tatay's (Dad's) Loaded Fries. Dad's pretty stoked he came up with this one but let's be honest, the pulled pork adobo was really me. And the jackfruit was Eden and Ryan. Sorry Dad! We'll let you claim the cheese sauce and mayo.

10.01.2022 Any Black Eyed Peas fans here? Did you know that they had a couple of songs that talks about the Philippines and its food? One dish that gets a special mention is Chicken Adobo! Adobo refers to a method of marinating and stewing for any cut of meat or fish in a briny mixture of vinegar, soy sauce, and spices. Filipino adobo should not be confused with the spicy Spanish adobo sauce. The meat is marinated and then stewed in this mixture, which yields a very flavorful, tangy, and tender meat. For our dessert special this week, we have collaborated with @thedoughnutstop to continue the ube adventure! This week they are making ube glazed donuts as well as ube cream filled creme brulee! How good? See you this weekend?

10.01.2022 Hey Sydney fam! Check this out! Also, don't miss it

10.01.2022 We try our best to reduce our environmental footprint. Which is why we consciously chose @biopak.packaging for the love through food, from our family to yours. #SustainableSunday @pruepetersphoto

09.01.2022 PSA! We're keen.

08.01.2022 Here's a story! Everytime our mates threw a party where we had to bring a plate, we always asked mum to cook the chicken. Everyone fell inlove and people started joking that we should sell the stuff. We didn't take it seriously until mum finished up at the local hospital cafe. Then we thought, let's bring the chicken that everyone loves on the road. And we all lived happily ever after.

07.01.2022 Did you get some donuts tonight? We would like to say a big big thank you to Nathan and Savannah for collaborating with us and creating these amazing donuts! You guys have brought me right back to my childhood and on behalf of all the Filipinos who are missing home during this crazy time, maraming maraming salamat! Thank you very much. If you've loved the doughnuts as much as we did, make sure you send some love to the guys at The Doughnut Stop or leave them a line as a comment below. Follow their page for more donut goodness and hopefully one day the ube ones will come back! @ Shepparton, Victoria

07.01.2022 #ThrowbackThursday to one of our most challenging days on the road. The caravan busted a tyre on their way out to Nagambie. My brother Ryan comes to the rescue and helps dad patch the old girl back together and got her back on the road. We're pretty lucky to have a few handymen in our family, especially during times like this! Dad has since changed the caravan to having a dual axle. I hope I said that right, for all the mechanical people. All I know is before he changed it, I could see one tyre on each side. Now there's two on each side so a total of 4. Haha! Thanks Dad.

05.01.2022 Filipino mums are the pioneer of sustainability #tagalogthursdays

04.01.2022 The famous quote goes: We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. This #SocialImpactSunday, we would like to raise an awareness on how we don't need a lot to have an impact. We can all contribute in little ways and small drops in the ocean can make a ripple effect, especially if we aim our resources to the right direction. If you are a local foodie, cafe, restaurant or venue, would you consider joining us in our ...mission of unity to promote a culture in Shepp that lends a helping hand where there is a need? Check out @OnePlate.Co to see how far your generosity can go. Can you help us spread the word by tagging your favourite foodies, cafes and restaurants so they can consider joining in the food revolution that aims to help end world hunger. Make sure you tag them below PS we would also like to congratulate the local champions in our town, #LutfiyesShishKebabs, @bicaros_shepparton and @thewoolshed.emeraldbank, we see you and we are inspired by your generosity in helping the local community. We stand with you in creating a food culture in our town that looks outward and spreads the love through food. See more

04.01.2022 For week 3, in true Nanna Marce form - we are once again bringing Filipino flavours to food you already love. This time with the help of @thedoughnutstop! When I reached out to Nathan and Savannah, I got so excited to find out that they already knew what I was talking about! Even better when Nathan shared his creativity and ideas on how we could make this really epic for the good people of Shepp! So with no further delay, let's talk about this week's dessert specials:... 1. Ube cream filled brulee - the filling in this donut is a childhood favourite of ours! The guys at The Doughnut Stop have put their spin to it by adding the brulee top and it is soooooo good! 2. Ube glaze - the OG of ube donuts, best eaten icing side down - mind blowing flavour explosion straight to your taste buds. Here's the catch fam - there are a limited number of these and we've just passed the halfway point to selling out so just like the cupcakes, don't be the one that misses out. Because that's gonna be really sad and I will cry with you! I repeat, don't miss out on this once in an iso lifetime opportunity to taste this amazing goodness brought to you by The Doughnut Stop! @ Shepparton, Victoria

04.01.2022 #ThrowbackThursday to these amazing ube cupcakes by Tegan!
