04.01.2022 The Narrabeen Lagoon catchment measures more than 50 square kilometres. That entire area's been deluged with rain, meaning vast amounts of water are headed head...ed downhill to the lagoon. Combine that with tonight's high tide and severe flooding is inevitable. Predictions for flood levels already exceed those of 2016 and the rain is still falling. Homes are being inundated, roads covered, property damaged. A formal evacuation order has now been issued. Residents of all low-lying streets should prepare and leave a.s.a.p. This means turning off power to your property, raising furniture, collecting pets, valuables and important documents and leaving. If possible, head to the homes of family or friends. Failing that, evacuation centres are open at: Mona Vale Community Centre - 1 Park Street Cromer Community Centre - 150 Fisher Road North. Who's affected: All properties surrounding Narrabeen Lagoon, from Wakehurst Parkway, Narrabeen bordered by: The Esplanade, west of Pittwater Road from Goodwin St to Albert Street then along Lagoon St to Octavia St, properties west of Lisle St, including low-lying properties of Emerald St and Malcom St, Walsh Street west of Pittwater Rd towards Warriewood Rd along Macpherson St down Garden St to Pittwater Rd including low-lying properties of Nareen Pde, Gondola Rd, Rickard Rd, Windsor Pde and Bristol Ln. Crews from the S.E.S. and Surf Life Saving NSW are door knocking houses now reinforcing the advice to leave.

03.01.2022 Thanks to the Walsh family and friends, whom kindly donated funds to enable us to purchase our new Rescue Board The Thomas Walsh In memory of Thomas Walsh. 6 Oct 2000 - 16 Oct 2018. May you Rest in Peace our friend and colleague. Thanks for your service to Narrabeen Beach SLSC.
