18.01.2022 Do you know the 4 steps of asthma first aid? Epidemic thunderstorm asthma can be sudden, serious and even life threatening; that's why it's important for everyo...ne in the community to know what they can do in grass pollen season, particularly those most at risk of thunderstorm asthma. If you think someone is having an asthma attack, you can follow these 4 steps. If you see no signs of improvement, please call 000. If you feel short of breath, tight in the chest, wheeze or cough during pollen season please visit your doctor immediately, as you might have undiagnosed asthma. Thank you to Victorian Department of Health & Human Services for these graphics.

The Apple Juice Trial by Freedman et al. compared treatment failure between dilute apple juice & electrolyte solution... for mildly dehydrated patients with gastroenteritis. They found that, for many patients, apple juice was more tolerable and resulted in fewer failures. 09.01.2022 ARE YOU USING A SPACER? With the current air quality conditions around Australia people with #asthma are relying on their reliever / puffer medication more hea...vily. It is very important that you use a #spacer with your puffer. Using a spacer allows more medicine to get into the airways where it is needed. A spacer is recommended for all ages, not just children. http://ow.ly/NCbi50xVJhR #AsthmaMedication
