24.01.2022 Last Friday we interviewed some local tradies, who often work night shift, about their need for medical services after-hours. We help fund two dedicated After Hours GP Clinics in the Hawkesbury and Penrith areas to open in the evenings, on weekends and Public Holidays. These Clinics can help people with minor injuries avoid the emergency department as they can suture or glue minor wounds and immobilise minor sprains or strains. 18.01.2022 Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay and a reminder that mental ill health, just like physical ill health, can effect anyone at any time. It doesn’t discriminate. We are proud of the work we do to bring more mental health services to our region. Find out more about the local services we fund at www.nbmphn.com.au/mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #NBMPHN

14.01.2022 We're urging Hawkesbury residents experiencing COVID-like symptoms to get tested, after the state’s sewage surveillance program detected fragments of the virus at the North Richmond Treatment Plant. Our CEO, Lizz Reay says, It is vital that we don't start taking respiratory symptoms lightly. It’s easy to start thinking it’s just the sniffles or hay fever but the fact is, we don’t know it’s not #COVID-19 unless we get tested. Read more in this article by Hawkesbury Gazette. #NBMPHN #GetTested
14.01.2022 Death and dying are a part of life. It will happen to us all one day, yet many of us are reluctant to talk about it. CareSearch has just launched their 'Part of Life' campaign to increase community awareness of palliative care and to share a host of free resources for both healthcare professionals and the community. It's never to early to have a conversation about what your wishes, and the wishes of your family, are at end of life. #endoflifecare #NBMPHN

12.01.2022 Together, our region's three GP-led Respiratory Clinics in Hazelbrook, Penrith and Windsor have screened over 16,000 people for COVID-19. These clinics assess people with respiratory symptoms and can provide clinical advice, not just testing for COVID-19. This is a great option for people who are unable to visit their regular GP due to their symptoms, and who can't be managed by telehealth alone. Your regular GP will receive a copy of your test results if you provide their details. Find out more at www.nbmphn.com.au/GPCOVIDClinics
