21.01.2022 Dear NZ Veterans, big thanks to John and Louise Holms NZ is always represented on ANZAC Day at Hervey Bay. Please note the comments and military connections explained by John and Louise: The wreath laid in memory of NZ Servicemen and women at Hervey Bay on ANZAC Day. The wreath bearers were Marion Nalder and right Maureen Von Einem. ... Maureen served in the RNZN as a medic while Marion served in the RNZAF. In particular Marions late father Pte Vincent Peters 10/1316 was a survivor on Chunuk Bair. What is more, the wreath was designed by the late Ross Evans RNZAF 303378 who passed away last year and his father Pte William Evans 10/940 served on Gallipoli as well. A common thread with both descendants of these Gallipoli veterans was that none of their teachers believed their fathers fought in the Great War! Thank you so much John and Louise for keeping us updated and keeping NZ represented every year. Thank you Maureen and Marion for representing NZ.

04.01.2022 Dear NZ Veterans, you would have noticed recently that NZ Vietnam Veteran Wayne Lindsay and RNZN Veteran Steven Valentine have kindly offered to manage the New ...Zealand Veterans in Queensland and New Zealand Veterans in Northern Territory Facebook pages on behalf of New Zealand Veterans in Australia (NZVIA). New Zealand Veterans in Australia Inc is a registered charity with the ACNC since 1 January 2014. Its charitable purpose is to advance social or public welfare. One of the ways we do this is by providing a platform via social media, monthly NewZletters, Youtube, Mailchimp and Website, for NZ Veterans in AU to stay connected, share stories and news of interest, and promote camaraderie thereby helping to reduce social isolation. Furthermore, with the Support of other organisations/charities such as: RedSix, RSL DefenceCare, SoldierOn, Legacy, Mates4Mates, Overwatch, No Duff, Post Transition Ltd, DVA, RSA, VANZ and many others, provide for the welfare and wellbeing of our Veterans as and when needed. However, there are other Australian based NZ Veteran Facebook pages that also do this for our NZ Veterans in AU including but not limited to: NZ RSL sub-Branch VIC, NZ RSL sub-Branch NSW, The Red Diamond Club, ANZAC Kiwi Gold Coast, New Zealand Veterans WA so please stay connected with these groups as well. Whilst NZVIA does not run campaigns, events, services and commemorations (as this would require Public Liability Insurance and consequently Financial Membership subscriptions) we are in the process of seeking funding to support our representatives and advocates in the States and Territories that provide for the ongoing welfare and wellbeing of our Veterans such as Wayne Lindsay, Pete Ramsay, Kevin Bovill, Valerie Church and others. Thank you Wayne and Steven for your kind support to NZVIA as well as Pete, Kevin, Valerie and others for your ongoing support to our NZ Veterans in AU.
