17.01.2022 Introducing the popular "The Duke on George" Nightcruiser Party Bus Tours & Transport call on the Duke for transport. Include the Duke as part of your schedule.... This live music venue, coming to life in the semi-basement of the heritage-listed Brush Factory building at the top of George Street in East Fremantle. It strives to provide Quality Live Music in the genre of Blues crossing the lines to Jazz/ Folk /Soul and more. The Brush Factory was originally built in 1901 for the manufacture of brushes and brooms. Decades later it was taken over by Main Roads and used as a depot. Next came the Lauder and Howard team who opened a Fine Arts and Antiques Business. The current family owners bought the site in 2009 and have meticulously restored the heritage value of the building, saving as much of the original structure as possible and recycling material throughout. The new Brush Factory is a creative hub, housing the Duke of George Blues and Jazz venue, diverse performing arts spaces and lifestyle studios and offices for the arts industry and local commercial business. The Duke offers an impressive selection of Blues & Roots, Swing & Jazz, Folk, Soul and more, with a mix of house band sessions and ticketed shows. All House Sessions are door entry. Ticketed shows are pre-booked online. Our music is carefully curated to showcase quality musicians in all styles. The venue is the creative vision and passion of Owner and Artistic Director, Renee Coyle. WAAPA trained, and has led a colourful career of her own across many stages, her desire was to build an exceptional performance space to house and nurture the creative growth of the music industry. The Duke offers the ultimate night out. Fabulous tunes played by accomplished artists in a comfy, classy, setting with great service, quality food, and a tempting drinks list. A little piece of New Orleans in the heart of East Fremantle. Its located at 135 George Street, East Fremantle

10.01.2022 Sydney’s 24-hour economy reforms approved by Parliament Nightcruiser Party Buses Tours & Transport https://nightcruiser.com.au/nsw/ #barcrawlsydney,#clubcrawlsy...dney,#henspartysydney,#birthdaysydney,#nightcruisersydney A new incentives and sanctions system with ongoing fee discounts for licensed venues that maintain a clear record; Removal of outdated live music restrictions; Allow small bars to offer more family-friendly services to customers, by permitting minors in certain circumstances; Reducing red tape by aligning liquor licensing and planning processes; and Enhancing same day alcohol delivery regulations. Minister for Customer Service Victor Dominello said the new laws will create a vibrant and safe 24-hour economy, with risk-based liquor laws that support business. The new laws will boost the state’s night-time economy by removing outdated laws, simplifying licensing processes and creating a new incentives and sanctions system that rewards licence holders with a clear record, Mr Dominello said. The economy doesn’t go to sleep after dark and we need laws that cater to a 21st-century economy. The hospitality sector has been brought to its knees this year and the new laws will give the sector greater certainty and flexibility. The passing of the bill has been widely welcomed, with AHA NSW Director of Liquor and Policing John Green, saying: The key component of the legislation is the amalgamation of the three regulatory schemes (Three Strikes, Violent Venues and Minors Sanctions) into a simpler, fairer single demerits system. This is something AHA NSW has been advocating for some time and is particularly welcomed. The legislation also makes a range of changes regarding live music including the removal of many music-related liquor licence conditions and allowing local government to remove those conditions where they are mirrored in Development Consents. The Night Time Industries Association also welcomed the new legislation, with Chair Michael Rodrigues saying: This has been a long journey, but I can’t emphasise how much a big deal these reforms will make to Sydney’s nightlife. It strips away great swathes of regulation, some bewildering, some comical, but all unhelpful to venue operators. The NTIA has brought together and worked alongside a coalition of the willing to campaign for these reforms, and the government deserves kudos for getting them over the line. However, the new legislation marks the end of the beginning rather than the beginning of the end. We still have a lot to do to support a sector reeling from a year of bushfires, pandemic and recession. But today is a landmark for Sydney’s nightlife and one that should be celebrated. Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres said the laws would breathe new life into the economy. This is great news and a double win for the community. The changes will empower businesses to thrive and grow, and provide customers with more choice, Mr Ayres said. The changes follow on from the Government’s response to NSW Parliament’s Joint Select Committee on Sydney’s night-time economy. The new laws are expected to take effect from 1 December 2020 and complement recent changes to outdoor dining regulations, which make it easier for businesses to offer alfresco dining.

05.01.2022 Found Guilty Of Selling Fake Tickets #festivaltransport,#perthtransport,#concerttransport,#eventtransport,#nightcruiserperth,#bunbury,#nightcruiserbunbury https...://nightcruiser.com.au/wa/ A 19-year-old Perth woman has been guilty of creating and selling fake tickets for a number of live music events, including Listen Out music festival and Post Malone. According to the ABC, Hannah Rebecca Valentine has been charged with "59 counts of gaining a benefit by fraud", as well as previously pleading guilty to 22 counts of the charge. She has now pleaded guilty to an additional 28 counts and is yet to plea to a further nine charges. Its believed Valentine netted around $10,000 from the sales, which had been sold through Facebook and Gumtree via multiple fake accounts since December 2017. Mediation and reparations are reportedly underway for victims of the fraud, while Valentine is expected to be sentenced on 15 July. The news comes just weeks after controversial online ticket resale platform Viagogo was found guilty of misleading consumers by the Australian Federal Court. Following a slew of public outcry and protests from artists in recent years, the Court has found Viagogo in breach of Australian Consumer Law, stating it made false or misleading representations and engaged in conduct liable to mislead the public when reselling entertainment, music and live sport event tickets.
