24.01.2022 COVID-19 - Update for Tennis SA Affiliated Clubs and Associations The Direction for Public Activities has been updated by South Australian State Coordinator, Commissioner Stevens (available here) and will come in to effect at 12.01 am on Sunday 22 November 2020. This Direction is now expected to be in place until Tuesday 1 December 2020. The following Tennis SA administered competitions have been canceled for Friday 20 and Saturday 21 November:... State League Metro League Junior State League Green Ball Junior State League SDTA Seniors and Juniors NETA Juniors EDTA Juniors EDTA/NETA Combined Tennis SA will provide us with an update on Tuesday 24 November for the above listed competitions due to be held on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November. However, further clarification was received from SAPOL which now confirms that tennis coaching is not permitted under the current Direction. Although, it has been confirmed that tennis courts can be open for a casual hit of tennis. Thank you all for your patience and we hope to get back on the court very soon!

23.01.2022 Dear members, Every season the Noarlunga Tennis Club partakes in a Bunning's BBQ fundraising day. The day is a great fundraiser for the club, and we would love our members to join in and assist. When - Sunday 11th October... Where - Bunning's Noarlunga. Time slots needed are: (1) 8.15 to 10.00 - involves setting up the BBQ and gazebo (2) 10.00 to 12.00 (3) 12.00 to 2.00 (4) 2.00 to 4.00 - involves finishing and packing up at approx. 3.30 and returning the BBQ etc inside to Bunnings. A maximum of 4 people required for each time-slot and older Juniors are welcome to assist with their parents. Please RSVP to Ellen Miller (0427001189) by 4 October with your time-slot and names of who will be assisting. Thank you NTC Executive Committee

11.01.2022 Dear members, Last summer's tennis season ended climatically or anti-climatically with COVID (depends how you look at it) ending finals early. While Victorian's languish in a mess of COVID and are stuck inside, we here in SA can look forward to getting outside this summer. We are sending this email to see if you, your loved ones, you're not so loved ones and or friends are interested in playing tennis this summer. Most are welcome ... Season starts 10th October, and nomination to Tennis SA close 6th September. So, for senior tennis this year SDTA are offering Men's singles (4 men per team) Ladies singles (4 ladies per team) Mixed Doubles (4 men and 4 ladies per team) Mixed Doubles (2 men and 2 ladies per team) (NEW) Mens Only Doubles (4 men per team) If you are interested in playing Senior Tennis at Noarlunga this year, please respond to Simon with your preference of competition. 09.01.2022 Dear members, Training and Competitions resume this week :) Please ensure there is either 1 adult per child or drop your child off and go, to reduce numbers on the premises. ... As per the SA Government a check in contact tracing system will be enabled to be completed by all people present at the club on days of training and competitions. Note that, as informed by the Government, personal information will be disposed after 28 days. Our Community Tennis Guidelines and Competition Regulations have now been updated as of 1st December. https://www.tennis.com.au//2020-12-01-COVID-19-Competition Key recommendations include: Only people core to playing should attend tennis activities such as players, participants, coaches and operational personnel Arrive and leave as close as possible to when you need to be there (please get in, play, get out) Only one parent/guardian should accompany younger children where possible. 08.01.2022 Opportunity to represent Metro SA for Tennis SA Teams Challenge There is a great opportunity for three U15’s & U17’s girls to represent Metro SA in our upcoming Tennis SA Teams Challenge. This is aimed at Division 1 and Premier Girls only, all information is in the attachment. The cut off for selection is Monday, 7 December at 9:00 am, so any players who are interested please get them to enter over the weekend. The three 15’s and 17’s with the highest UTR will be selected.... Key Info: Date: Monday 14th and 15th December Teams match against Regional SA Individual event entry Guaranteed 5 matches over 2 days $70 entry which covers Teams and tournament entry Team polo and hat/visor Dinner Tuesday night after presentations UTR Tournament It is free to enter into the tournament, the players who are selected payment will be organised next week. 03.01.2022 ATTENTION! COVID update from Tennis SA CEO: Dear Tennis SA Affiliated Clubs and Associations,... It’s been a little while between these emails and unfortunately, this is not one we wanted to be sending this afternoon. Many of you would have watched today’s press conference. It has been confirmed that the Direction for Public Activities will change at midnight tonight, Monday 16 November 2020. We are waiting for the new Direction to be released before we confirm exact details, but at this stage, it has been made very clear that all indoor and outdoor sports competitions and trainings are to be suspended as of midnight tonight. Our intention is to give you a further update once the Direction has been released, so please bear with us as we work through this and seek clarification where required. Documentation and materials on our website will be updated in due course. Thank you all for your cooperation and understanding.
