25.01.2022 We are open for sales again! After a lengthy period of evaluating many Android devices I've selected the LG K9, and adapted the NoPowerTXT software for it. The new devices have been sold on request for a couple of months now, and are performing well. The LG K9 is more expensive than the devices we've previously used, necessitating an increase in the wholesale and retail prices. The new RRP is $500. ... For the technically minded, just some of the obstacles faced in this evaluation phase: the phone had to have a replaceable battery (rare these days) and operate Android 7.1, to allow for future software upgrades. The change in Android level required thorough testing and some software changes. Just to complicate things, a couple of times I selected a device, only to find it discontinued. Lesson learned - when a $200 phone is selling for $150, it's about to be discontinued. The LG K9 itself has now been discontinued, but I've purchased a large stock.
24.01.2022 NoPowerSMS to the rescue! Following a big storm in Adelaide last night, I receive a text message from my boat at 8.05am this morning that the power had been disconnected. I went down to the marina to find that power was off on all boats in the eastern side of the marina and I was the first to know. Following advice to the marina manager, power was restored shortly thereafter. I do not understand why anyone with a boat in a marina, would not want to have the knowledge that comes from having NoPowerSMS installed in their boat.

22.01.2022 NoPowerSMS has changed it's name to NoPowerTXT. It is currently available only in Australia via a subscription model albeit we expect to add other countries during 2015. There are lots of new features which we look forward to telling you all about in the new year. All the best to everyone for 2015!
21.01.2022 This is to introduce myself as the new owner of NoPowerTXT. My own background is a long career in software, in which I specialised in aerospace and hi-tech systems, chiefly here in Adelaide. In 2012 I was introduced to Ian Sargent to develop his new idea for an app, which became NoPowerTXT. Since then I have worked closely with Ian in the development and support of the product and following Ian’s decision to retire I was very happy accept his offer of purchasing the business.... I look forward to supporting the current users and working with resellers to further develop the business. I will continue on the programming side, so if you have any ideas for features then please let me know. Cheers! Stephen
19.01.2022 We regret to inform that sales of NoPowerTXT have been suspended. Our previous Android device has been discontinued by the manufacturer and we are searching for a replacement.
17.01.2022 After nearly 6 years of development it has come time for me to sell NoPowerTXT to my programmer Stephen Hosking. This will take place at the end of this month. In considering the sale, I immediately thought of Stephen as he has been the sole programmer throughout this entire period and hence has an intimate understanding of the inner workings of NoPowerTXT. One can only hope that he is better at Facebook postings than I've been. He certainly can't be any worse!... 13.01.2022 News Flash: NoPowerSMS "Distributor version" is now complete and will be available from September 20th 2013 (only because I'm on holidays before then). This version will allow authorised Distributors to pre-load phones with NoPowerSMS then sell the complete package onto their customers and/or clients. In addition to the standard features, it also allows Distributors to personalise the alert messages thus promoting their business.

06.01.2022 It’s a tough life, but someone has to do it! Here we are working hard to the boat show again this year. NoPowerSMS had a small stand at the Riviera Festival of Boating adjacent to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. Overall the response was very positive from the boaties and dealers we spoke with so it’s another step forward for NoPowerSMS.
05.01.2022 As the longest user of NoPowerSMS, I had a satisfying experience today. Around midday I received an SMS from NoPowerSMS at my boat advising that the SIM card was due to expire. Of course. I had set this up 12-months ago and totally forgotten about it. If it wasn’t for the reminder, my SIM would have expired and I would have stopped receiving any messages. If you’re using a pre-paid SIM, it’s really important that you set up the SIM reminder and then remember to update it every time you renew. Mine is now set for February 2015.
01.01.2022 Hi Everyone! Finally..... after a few busy months we are back in the social media world. We been quiet because we've been developing a new web site plus a new 14-day trial available on Google Play, plus a new Reseller version that can be pre-installed, thus allowing resellers to sell a complete package to their clients.
