23.01.2022 Did you know Osteopaths may help prevent or manage a wide range of pre- and post-natal conditions, either solely or in conjunction with other healthcare practitioners? After your baby is born, your osteopath may advise you to make return visits to prevent or manage problems like pelvic and low back strain, pelvic floor weakness, mastitis, incontinence, interrupted sleep and fatigue. An osteopath may also make referrals to other health professionals if needed. This will help you meet your babys needs, whilst caring for your own.

09.01.2022 Triceps Brachii, or just triceps is a muscle found on the back of the upper arm. It helps to move the arm backwards and also straighten the elbow. The word triceps stands for three-heads, which refers to the three attachment points of the muscle in the arm and shoulder region. Interestingly, there is also another Triceps in the body: Triceps Surae. Comment below if you know where it is found (or just have a guess! ). #osteo #osteopathy #musclemadness #tricepsmuscle #triceps

02.01.2022 This week the Chief Health Officer strongly recommended that face masks be worn in primary health settings, where social distancing cannot be maintained. To help ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff we are requiring patients to wear face masks during treatment. This decision was not made lightly and we understand that it may be inconvenient but the health of our patients and staff is our highest priority. You can either bring along your own mask to wear du...ring treatment or you can purchase a surgical mask for $1. Please note, children under 12 years of age are not required to wear a mask and exceptions can be made for medical reasons. We hope that this will only be a temporary measure while there is current community transmission in South East Queensland. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact us via email [email protected] or call us on Ph 3385 0200. Thank you for your understanding

01.01.2022 Back or Neck pain? The reason you feel that pain can be quite varied: from sitting too long, injury, referred menstrual pain, postural problems or dysfunction in the thorax, lower limbs or pelvis. Osteopaths as primary health care practitioners are trained to differentiate between uncomplicated back and neck pain or that requiring referral to specialist care professionals.
