25.01.2022 If you haven't tried a Canele before, you better be quick if you want to try one of Folie douce's - as there are not many left of their yummy french delights. There is not much bread left either at the The Bread & Butter Project. Margin's Mushrooms are being spruked by cheeky Charlie and we just found out that unfortunately, David Hannaford's olive crop did not herald what he was hoping for, so if you love his oil, get some today as he won't have more for some time.

25.01.2022 This is the last market for Anna Wales from Unu Handcrafted. Anna makes beautiful silver rings, necklaces and earrings. Very reasonably priced, simple and gorgeous.

15.01.2022 Thanks to everybody who have already kindly donated goods to the winter clothing drive for the House of Welcome. It is really moving to see such generosity and good will. Tomorrow will be our last collection date during the market hours of 8am till 2pm. Donations can be dropped off up at the admin office of the North Sydney Community Centre.

14.01.2022 There may be a chill in the air this morning but our fantastic stallholders are already warming up the market with their big smiles and as the sun gets higher you can begin to feel it's warmth. It is going to be a beautiful market day.

13.01.2022 Pass it on! That's the spirit at Trash 'n' Treasure in Kelrose Lane. Our mini flea market is filling with clothes, winter jackets, shoes, knick knacks, bits n bobs, DVDs, CDs, books. TnT is an opportunity for the local community to clean out the cupboards and pass on STUFF that is gathering dust, transform your trash into someone else's treasure!

11.01.2022 Tomorrow, Sentosa Trio will be farewelling the market from 12 - 2pm. Being our most loved minstrels, they have been playing at the market for over 22 years and were known as the Moods when there were 4 of them in their earlier days. We've had many great musicians play at the market and we thank each and every one of them and we look forward to hearing all of the day's music at the final market tomorrow - bring your tissues.

03.01.2022 SAD NEWS - CLOSURE OF MARKET The Miller Street Market was created as a fundraiser for the North Sydney Community Centre( NSCC) 33 years ago. It went onto become a much loved market and became a destination to arrive at on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Unfortunately with markets springing up everywhere, shops being open almost 24/7 and the internet enabling shopping online, this market, like a lot of other markets suffered. With the public’s attendance and shopping at the m...arket steadily declining and therefore a lower number of stalls attending, the NSCC management committee has had to make the difficult decision of closing the market as of July. This is a decision that has not been taken lightly by the Committee and in fact it has continued to support the market for many years despite the minimum funds that the market was raising as it so hoped that somehow, with all the hard work, effort and love given to it, it could survive. With the market continuing to struggle despite it being such a great little market, appreciated by all those who do attend it and with it having been such an integral part of the NSCC, the unfortunate reality is that it is no longer viable to continue running the market. So the final 2 markets will be this Saturday, May 14th and Saturday June 11th. We ask all of you who have ever attended the market to come along to these markets and say a big thank you and farewell to the stallholders and to make these last 2 markets the best that they can possibly be.
