24.01.2022 Posted @withregram @jennifer_rollin Thank you @jennifer_rollin . .... A little ditty I wrote for ya. . Unless you are a child with epilepsy-you do NOT need to do keto. . Carbs are important energy for your brain, body, and mood. . It’s NOT healthy for your body to be in a state of ketosis and to be eating it’s own muscle. . It can be dangerous for your heart, as well as can lead to poor mineral intake and electrolyte imbalance. .

24.01.2022 I didn’t even realize that I was sensitive to noise, until I became a parent. I knew I didn’t like ticking clocks or fans. Really didn’t know the accumulation o...f different noises all the time was such a trigger for me until I started reflecting on why did I feel impatient/overwhelmed/frustrated there? I found so many times the noise was a contributing factor. Just being aware makes me prioritize some quiet time (usually have to go outside) when I’m feeling that way. Posted @withregram @mombrain.therapist Hey there, I'm Bryce @mombrain.therapist I share about motherhood and everyday mental health. When talking with parents about their temper triggers, one of the most common things I hear about is the noise. Where is it all coming from? Why is it bothering me so much? Will my home ever be quiet again?!? While the answer to those questions could all be unique to each of our own family situations, there are a few things we can do to help with how the noise is impacting us right now...because our brains need it! Schedule some quiet time into each day. Nap time is nice, but if your kids no longer nap, try to establish "quiet time" for the home. Turn off/down background noise. We might not be able to "turn down" our kid's volume, but we can turn off the TV, turn off appliances, take batteries out of certain toys etc. Bring down your own volume. When it's loud, we can have a tendency to yell. But bringing our own voice volume down, can help our children match our volume. Get outside. The noise of childhood doesn't seem quite so loud in outside spaces. When inside is feeling like too much, take it outside if possible. Is noise a trigger for you? How do you handle all of the sounds of parenthood? As an add on to this conversation, I'm aware that to a lot of families, such as those dealing with children who are non-verbal, have speech & language delays, or other circumstances that keep their homes "quieter", noise would be a welcomed gift. 19.01.2022 Posted @withregram @reachingforrecovery28 Posted @withregram @loba.lo.rd . . . Perfectionism is often at the root of our relationship with food and body image. Striving for perfection creates an enormous amount of anxiety, and perfectionistic tendencies are explored at length with many of clients because of the difficulties they cause. ... . . The issue with perfectionism is that no one wins - we can never be perfect, and the constant striving for perfection is exhausting at best we will always emerge feeling like a failure, and we will always be looking at our past or towards our future rather than embracing and making the most of the present. . . If you’re ready to kick perfectionism out of your life, and begin trusting and believing that you are ENOUGH, just as you are, follow the link in my bio . . . #perfectionism #perfectionismrecovery #iamenough #youareenough #mentalhealth #anxiety #eatingdisorderrecovery #eatingpsychology #eatingpsychologycoach #psychologyofeating #nutritionist #brisbanenutritionist #bodytrust #bodywisdom #foodfreedom #mindbodynutrition See more

15.01.2022 Posted @withregram @eatingpsychology @marcdavid_ipe @mindbody_nutrition @eatingpsychologypractitioners .... . The end of the year can be a scary time for many people - the stress of family commitments, the anxiety around eating foods we might not normally eat, and the pressure to lose weight and look great for the summer... it’s so real But the end of a year is also a great time to reflect on what’s important to us - what’s a priority, what our values are, what are our self-chosen stressors, and what things we need to explore more in order to grow. . If dieting or weight loss is consuming your thoughts right now, please know that you’re not alone. The diet industry wants you to feel vulnerable and lost, now more than ever . . At a time when connection should matter most, I invite you to take the picture with your family, wear the dress you like but are scared to wear, buy yourself something new that fits you well (it doesn’t have to be expensive!!). And most of all, consider the role that dieting and weight loss as a goal plays in your world. How does it prevent you from accepting your body? How does it change your behaviours and thoughts? Where does it limit and restrict you? How does it stop you from being who you deeply want and deserve to be? What stories is your mind telling you about how much you need to lose weight, and how much better your life will be if you do? What myths and misconceptions are you holding onto around health and weight? What are your own experiences with weight stigma and fat phobia? Get curious, ask yourself these questions without judgement and with compassion. . . This is your time to evolve, re-prioritise, grow and learn into the best version of you... regardless of your weight and size . . . . #foodpsychology #psychologyofeating #eatingpsychologycoach #eatingpsychologycoaching #eatingpsychology #eatingpsych #mindbody #mindbodynutrition #mindbodyeating #mindbodyeatingcoaching #mindbodycoach #healthcoaching #bodywisdom #bodypositive #nutrition #intuitiveeating #mindfuleating #consciouseating #nutritionist #brisbanenutritionist #foodfreedom #bodywisdom #nourishnotpunish #nondiet #dietculture #wellnessculture #dietculturedropout See more

03.01.2022 Posted @withregram @ed_recovered . . Credit: @recoverykayy .... Many of our coping strategies are a result of childhood wounds and methods we developed as children to help us through difficult times. . . The eating disorder served a purpose once - it was the only way the body knew how to cope. But when a coping strategy starts to interfere with living a full and flexible life, that’s often when we realise this strategy isn’t working so well for us anymore. . . Part of the work of recovery (and any type of healing) is to understand the core wounds - work with the inner child with compassion so that a new way of coping can be learnt. This is what takes us from just surviving to THRIVING . . #innerchildhealing #healinnerchild #eatingdisorderrecovery #selfcompassion #selfacceptancejourney #eatingdisorder #bodypositive #bodyacceptance #youareenough #eatingpsychology #eatingpsychologycoach #brisbanenutritionist #nutritionist #mindbodynutrition #thrive #psychologicalflexibility See more
