16.01.2022 In her first regional stop since the state budget was handed-down, Deputy Premier and Treasurer Jackie Trad joined us for lunch today to share her post-budget a...nalysis with the business leaders of Cairns. In addition to outlining her payroll tax incentive package for the regions, the main budget highlights she shared for FNQ were as follows: - $1.2 billion in health investment in the Far North Queensland region - $60 million in to maintain and improve local schools - $6.4 billion (jointly funded with the federal Government) Bruce Highway upgrade program - more than $228 million for remote Indigenous housing - more than $24 million for the Reef Water Quality Program - $36 million for Wangetti Trail The Treasurer also re-affirmed the State Budget commitment of $176m for the Cairns Convention Centre, with the business case due to be finalised by the end of this month.

Construction began last week and calls for a celebration and the special VIP Night was held at the Nova City Display Gallery on Spence Street. Here you can get a feel for the innovative design, luxury residential apartments, commercial building, retail shops, a hotel, restaurants, cafeterias, health centres, Club Nova with its incredible amenities for residents and it’s very own tree lined boulevard. Nova City have even gone so far as to display their two-colour pallet options for the apartments, dark or light.
