Although this Christmas time may look a little different than planned and we may it not be able to travel like we hoped there is so much we have to be thankful for. 06.01.2022 Happy Thankful Thursday combined with a testimonial! Only one more sleep until Christmas Day. This year has been a tough one in many ways for all and we know that this time of year can be really hard for so many. One thing that I’ve learnt over the years is that even while I am living through the hardest of days there is always something to be thankful for. Some days can be hard when the ‘why me and why now’ thoughts tempt to creep in after experiencing disappointments but... the one thing I am thankful for today (currently a chemo side effects day) is that we have the Bible which reminds us who God is - this is where I draw my truths from. A couple of the Bible truths I’m thankful for today are: I’m thankful that nothing is a surprise to God and He is never changing. I’m thankful that Christmas time is another reminder that God loved us so much that He sent His only son to save us from our sins. I’m thankful that God always goes ahead even when we can’t see it and knows what we need even before we realise it ourselves. I’m thankful that God desires a relationship with us and wants us to bring the hard and happy times to Him in prayer as it draws us near to Him who promises in His Word to give us peace that surpasses all understanding.
