21.01.2022 Help shift the boundaries and build a better life for us all: www.kirstenlovejoy.com.au/volunteer

19.01.2022 Just one week ‘til Kirsten Lovejoy - Greens for McConnel’s fence face is coming to every street near you (or the fence face of your also awesome local Queensland Greens candidate). More people have signed up for a sign than ever before. Hosting a fence face is a great show of community support and gets our message out into the community (yep, renters can do it too). Sign up for your sign now: www.kirstenlovejoy.com.au/yardsign

18.01.2022 EMERGENCY ACCOMMODATION NEEDED If you are in Brisbane, there is an urgent accommodation need. About 30 refugees are being kicked out of their homes on Monday and most have no where to go. They are mainly single young males but there are some families. (This list could be growing). They were in Community Detention without work rights but now have 6 months Bridging Visas with work rights but no centrelink back up. They must find accommodation within 3 days. Many have very little money and cannot afford the rental bond. Some have cars but some don't. If you can help call Mark Gillespie on 0439 561196 or email him at [email protected] and he will put you in contact with people trying to help.

17.01.2022 Meet Andrew Bartlett - Brisbane, our candidate for Clayfield! Seriously though, Andrew needs no introduction, he’s a small business owner, 4ZZZ presenter, dad, long-time local (amongst a whole raft of things - including former Senator for Queensland!!). And we’re stoked to have a bit of #PurpleReign amongst the #greenwave sweeping Brisbane.

16.01.2022 This is why we need to make the big banks and massive mining corporations pay their fair share in state-based taxes. We can use this revenue to create 20,000 jobs a year building 100,000 public homes over four years. And make sure every Qlder has a roof over their head.

15.01.2022 The North Brisbane Greens stand in solidarity with First Nations Peoples on Invasion Day. See below for details about tomorrow's rally and march in Meanjin. Out of respect, please do not wear or carry Greens paraphernalia. If you'd like to volunteer or contribute in any way you can find information here: https://docs.google.com//1pwmPB2vK4SH23Y83_t83xX/viewform... #invasionday #abolishaustraliaday #noprideingenocide #alwayswasalwayswillbe

12.01.2022 Berko’s Backyard is lush with greenery.

11.01.2022 The Morrison Government used the last sitting day of the year to condemn millions of Australians to live even further below the poverty line by cutting the Coronavirus supplement by a further $100 a fortnight. No one should need to live in fear and anxiety about how they will afford to buy healthy food or keep a roof over their heads, especially going into Christmas. The Government must permanently increase the #Jobseeker and Youth Allowance payments to a rate above the poverty line.

07.01.2022 We are so excited to be able to finally announce well, you know what, we’ll let you just read the post yourself.

06.01.2022 What an awesome real! 2 days to turn Brisbane Green! www.kirstenlovejoy.com.au/volunteer

06.01.2022 BUILD ENOUGH HOUSING The Qld Labor Government knows that 16,270 households are in acute crisis waiting on the social housing register (this number doesn...'t include lower risk households that are also on the waiting list). They know that this number has increased by 82% in just 17 months. But they're still only building 452 social homes over the next year! Amy MacMahon - Greens MP for South Brisbane and Michael Berkman - Greens MP for Maiwar are ready to share our fully-costed plan to build 100,000 public homes over four years creating 20,000 construction jobs a year along the way with the Housing Minister

06.01.2022 Thanks to NBG members Josephine Perret, Em Golik and Andrew Bartlett for supporting the great work of No Cashless Welfare Debit Card Australia by handing out flyers at Fortitude Valley train station yesterday. Check out the video below to find out why the privately run cashless debit card system is cruel, racist and utterly ineffective and don't forget to follow No Cashless Welfare Debit Card Australia to find out how you can help!

05.01.2022 Disgusting moves by Labor; shifting the goal posts because they don’t suit them. Next time they tell you that a minority government is scary, remember the times they flip-flopped, rammed stuff through and undermined our democracy as their majority placed no proper check and balance on their decision making.

04.01.2022 We’re pretty stoked to introduce Stephen Bates - Greens for Stafford! Are you a Stafford local? Help out on the campaign and Stephen’s face on your fence by signing up here: https://greens.org.au/qld/yardsign

03.01.2022 That’s some big money. No wonder the average Joe is disillusioned.

02.01.2022 Your vote is powerful. Kirsten Lovejoy - Greens for McConnel is on track to win, but it’s looking close! Let’s get her in there with Michael. Check your enrolment is up to date: aec.gov.au

01.01.2022 It’s breeding season folks, so you might see more of these cuties moving around your local neighbourhood. Just reason #17065 to protect and restore green space in our suburbs.
