25.01.2022 Our space is almost fully set up!! Just a few more finishing touches before starting up. Welcoming our current families with an afternoon tea! To ensure children have a smooth transition.

24.01.2022 Spring is finally here! The weather is getting warmer and there are some flowers in our garden. What better way to celebrate all things green and growing than to collect some of these natural materials to use for play. Combining Play-Doh with natural materials is a fun twist on a favourite activity and with so many easy to collect natural items the possibilities for play are endless!

22.01.2022 Our colour matching activity is getting alot of use. The children are thinking out side the box and adding extra items to the area. One child created this beautiful flower.

18.01.2022 NAIDOC week experiences: * Symbol drawing in sand. * Rainbow Serpent's, using coloured wool and cardboard. * Matching Symbol game.... * Canvas dot paintings. Plus loads more learning experiences to teach children about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and their culture.

16.01.2022 Two new fun experiences this week. Around the world: as Australia Day is in January I thought what better way to teach children about the world we are living in. Using a big world poster the children are able to find and match different parts of the world using the felt stick on's, this enables us to extend on learning about different cultures as well as learn about the different countries around us. Emotions table- children are still developing their identity and a big part of that is learning about the different emotions we deal with on a daily bases. This experience enable children to identify the different expressions that relate to different emotions, this encourages children to speak more about how their feeling as they start to develop an understand on those emotions.

14.01.2022 Sorting objects, matching shapes, colours and then pictures helps build visual perception and thinking skills. 13.01.2022 Nurture me family day care is taking a break from the end of today until the 13th Jan 2020, I will be taking walk through bookings from the 6th Jan-13th Jan for anyone who is wanting to enroll their child/ren in 2020, please send me a message to arrange a time. We would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy New year and look forward to meeting new families and reconnecting with current families in 2020.

12.01.2022 At nurture me family day care, we value each individual child. Part of our program is to make birthdays memorable. We celebrate each birthday by making delishious cakes/cupcakes and sing happy birthday to the children.

12.01.2022 A fun song to encourage children to wash their hands. It has great visuals and what better way to make hand washing fun.

11.01.2022 Some times our visitors have more fun then we do!! Sensory activity set up for children to explore using natural coloured play dough, flower petals, rocks, wood chips, twigs and leaves. This experience encourages children to uses their senses I.e. touch, smell and feel as they touch all the different textures when creating their very own masterpieces.... Our visitor got creative and made a person using a bit of everything in our tub, when they children see her creation they will be inspired and critically think about what they can create.

10.01.2022 Nurture me family day care is relocating to Long Gully, as of the 2nd of March. Our new environment is more spacious and includes a playground and cubby house for the children. Once we have moved I will advertise my available spaces.

08.01.2022 St. Patrick's Day craft: Yesterday the children were given the opportunity to dress up in green clothes or Irish theme clothing. The children stepped in the world of an Irish and learnt a bit about the Irish culture. We looked at the four leaf clover and learnt that it means "luck". The children then allowed me to trace around their little hands and we turned their hands in to "lucky charms" (four leaf clovers).
