04.01.2022 Okai is a social enterprise founded in 2019 with a mission to make a difference for the future of our wildlife. Our founder worked as a Wildlife Vet Nurse and had a front row seat witnessing plastic effects on wildlife. Beyond helping injured animals cope with the litter, she wanted to do more and put effort into decreasing the amount of plastic in the waterways. The result was Okai! She began working to work with local makers to develop unique products that not only work but also give back! When you shop with Okai you will not only benefit from ocean friendly quality products, you will also be financially supporting an ethical business who gives 25% of profits back to conservation projects.
