21.01.2022 The images below were taken from an SD Card that was saving data in a fence mounted wildlife camera that was caught up in the recent bushfires as they swept through Victoria on New Year’s Eve 2019. In many bushfire cases we find that the fires burn so hot that most devices are destroyed, however in this case it appears that the camera body itself managed to protect the card inside to help limit the damage. Although it was still quite badly melted, our Cleanroom engineers were able to clean it up well enough in order to recover the data contained. The videos we’ve recovered from the device help capture the dramatic approach of the bushfire.
