25.01.2022 The teams are in for round 3 of the BDCA cricket season. Once again the weather forecast is bleak, but fingers crossed the rain holds off to allow some cricket to be played. 2nd Grade and Presidents Cup chasing their first win after first round losses and the wash out whilst 3rd Grade are looking for a winning start after the bye in round 1 and a second round washout. Best of luck to everybody playing.

25.01.2022 One of a favourite Tiges Trent Fitzpatrick put himself into a rare group today! and that's not for scoring 125* .....Fitzy opened the batting on a Typical George Park 2 deck and went about his business, pushing one of our other favourite sons Kyle Myers to the non strikers end in his comeback innings after spending 13 years away from Bathurst. Fitzy faced the first and last ball of the days play to finish 125*off 251 balls . a rare feat to carry you're bat through the day for 5 hours and 15 minutes to knock up his first Ton for the year. A Sensational effort for one of our favourite's. Congratulations Trent.

25.01.2022 The cricket season is upon us and its time to start training. See you at the Sports Ground Nets Thursdays and Sundays from now till the season commences on Saturday 17th October. Go Tigers!

20.01.2022 Finals time next weekend. Get excited Tigers!

20.01.2022 Flashback to the 2014/15 season and four of our current President's Cup players were bashing a yellow ball around Brooke Moore. Can you name them?

20.01.2022 The President's Cup boys nearly pulled off a last gasp victory over SPOB Gold in their round 3 clash at Learmonth No.1 Oval. Set a target of 191 to chase after some good bowling by Alex Kinghorne (1-41), Sam Debenham (2-16), Darryl Gibson (2-21), Ruben Martin-Clark (2-18) and Gabe Langdon (1-43), the run chase was always going to be tough. Adam Bromfield (52) held the innings together and he got good support from Alex Kinghorne (12) and Josh Kidd (13). At 6 for 99 with 17 ove...rs remaining, things looked grim but Darryl Gibson (58no) turned the game on its head. He worked the Tigers total back to within reach and when Adam Bromfield returned to the crease after earlier retiring, it looked like victory was within reach. Alas, it wasn't to be with the final wicket falling 18 runs short of a victory target. Lot's to take from the match and our young kids got some great experience which will help in the weeks to come. 15.01.2022 Here is the U7 Master Blaster side for this Friday. The U9s get the week off as they have the bye. Goodluck kids and fingers crossed the rain stays away. Go Tigers!

15.01.2022 Our cricket club has a rich history and at present it all sits in the minds of those who have played for the mighty ORC. Its time we captured our clubs story for everybody to look upon. So we are calling on all ORCANS past and present to help make this happen. Over the next year we plan to capture this history in a number of ways but as a starting point we need scorebooks. If you have old scorebooks tucked away in the cupboard then pull them out. If you know a former player who might have some then give them a call. All scorebooks can be passed on to Rod Masman for chronicling.

15.01.2022 Here are the Master Blaster teams for this Friday. A couple of new Tigers having a run this week due to a few absences. Congrats to the DSouza boys Dylan & Noah on making their club debut. See you there at 5.15pm for a 5.30pm start. Go Tigers!

14.01.2022 Usually you would be happy bagging 5/11 in an innings....not Cooper Borgstahl. Just 2 weeks later he has done it again taking another 5 wickets in todays opens match against SSC White with figures of 5/10 from 3 overs. Incredible stuff Coop and keep em coming.

14.01.2022 Massive thank to everyone who supported ORC in the Toyota Good for Cricket Raffle. We managed to raise $2280 for our club and with a bit of luck hopefully a winning ticket or 2 have been purchased. The raffle will be drawn this Thursday @ 12pm. Winners can be found by following the link below. Good luck... https://toyotagoodforcricket.raffletix.com.au/

14.01.2022 After last weeks washout, the 2nd Grade boys revert to a one day game against Centennials while a James Lloyd wedding has seen mass changes for 3rd Grade in their match against Bathurst City. President's Cup continue their tussle with SPOB Gold who are currently 3 for 110 off 38 overs with the game reduced to a 54 a side match. Good luck to all the Tiger sides this afternoon. Go Tigers!

12.01.2022 Master Blaster training is cancelled for today. Blame it on the rain!

12.01.2022 The Tigers Presidents Cup side had a match up with their bogey side, the Bathurst Bushrangers, in round 10 at Police Paddock 2. After winning the toss, stand-in skipper Adam Bromfield elected to bowl and thanks to some good new ball bowling from Ruben Martin-Clark and Kelsey Borgstahl, the Tigers made a promising start picking up 3 early wickets to have Bushies 3 for 45. The next wicket proved a little harder to claim and it took some good bowling from Seth Norris and a soli...d catch by Cooper Borgstahl to claim it. Setho then backed it up with a second wicket courtesy of Anthony Clarks safe hands. With half the wickets in the bag and just 160 runs on the board, the Tigers had reason to be confident of restricting Bushies to a total they could chase down. Kelsey picked up 2 more wickets in his second spell to make it 4 for the match and the scorecard read 7 for 239. Unfortunately, the day went a little pear shaped from that point forward as the Tigers bowling attack was savaged by the returning retirees and at stumps the Bushies total was 9 for 455. Special mention to Andrew Bonham who bowled well and without luck in testing circumstances at the back end of the innings. The Tigers returned on day two confident of having a real crack at the massive target but they struggled to make a quick start out of the blocks. Openers Jonathan Nicholls and Rod Masman made a slow but solid start before Jono was bowled for 7 and then Rod was caught for 47 with the team total on 77 in the 24th over. Mick Deaton tried to lift the run rate but was stumped on 10 (it could be argued he was actually run out given how far he was out of his crease). Adam Bromfield then joined Ruben in the middle and they kept the scoreboard moving until Ruben got a leading edge and was caught for 20. The Tigers then lost a couple more quick wickets as Setho and Gareth Sutton both departed without troubling the scorers, leaving the team total at 6 for 131. Young Cooper strode to the crease and played a vital part in putting together a 52 run partnership with Brommy before he was bowled for 5. Brommy reached his 50 shortly after and handed over the batting duties to George Nicholls and Kelsey. The pair added a further 51 runs to take the team total to 234 before George was caught in front for a very accomplished 35. Kelsey was then joined by Darryl Gibson and they raised the total closer to the 300 mark before Kelsey was also out for lbw with 32 runs to his name. Brommy and Gibbo then batted out the final hour of the day to finish on 67 and 36 respectively. Whilst the run chase finished 143 runs short of the Bushies total, to bat the day out and score 300+ is a good sign for the important finals that lay ahead. See more

11.01.2022 Save the date because its locked in. Our presentation night is finally happening at Bathurst Panthers.

10.01.2022 Its very unfortunate, but based on the latest directive from NSW Health, we will have to postpone our presentation night which was planned for next Friday evening. Hopefully restrictions ease in the next month or so and we will re-schedule accordingly. At this stage the cricket season is still full steam ahead. Registration for juniors is open and senior registrations will open before the end of this month. Stay safe everybody and look forward to catching up soon and playing some cricket.

09.01.2022 After their first round defeat, Second Grade bounced back strong with a convincing win against Centennial Bulls over the weekend. Sent in to bat first, the early loss of last seasons prolific run scorer Trent Fitzpatrick (11) wasn't the start the boys were looking for. However an 88 run partnership between Fletcher Norris (77) and Tim Halloran (45) set the stage for a good total. At 3/124 Tait Borgstahl (37) and Fletch showed how running between the wicket should be done taki...ng the total to 4/189. Fletch finally removed for 77 after a hard fought knock. Clint Bryant (25*) and Tom Judge (7*) finished out the innings with a total of 5/229. The boys then put on a professional bowling performance to have the visitors @ 5/52 after 16 overs. Jacob Ryan (2-11), Tait Borgstahl (1-26) , Shane Holland (2-27) and Justin Stephenson (1-15) doing the early damage. A resilient 8th wicket partnership took the bulls to 113 before Clint Bryant (1-8) found an edge to get the break through required to finish the Bulls off. Well done Lads and YTT See more

08.01.2022 The Presidents Cup boys arrived at Police Paddock ready to defend their impressive first innings total in conditions very different to day 1 with cool temps and dark clouds looming. The conditions made the exercise of getting 10 opposition wickets a difficult one. Ruben Martin-Clark picked up the first wicket after some good early bowling and then Seth Norris grabbed the second wicket with a terrific spell of 5 overs that conceded just 9 runs. When Kelsey Borgstahl grabbed th...e third wicket, St Pats Old Boys Blue were 3 for 65 after 29 overs. The rain and wet outfield soon took a toll on the ball as it began to resemble a cake of soap. Adam Bromfield and Andrew Bonham did really well to snare a wicket each with the slippery ball, but the wickets really dried up after that. Considering the conditions, Andy did exceptionally well in his 4 over spell, bowling a maiden and only conceding 12 runs. The final 27 overs of the innings returned just 2 wickets as St Pats added a further 145 runs to finish 7 for 236, well short of the target set by the Tigers. This weeks report wouldnt be complete without mentioning the bowling spell of life member Mick Deaton. Deato threw down 4 overs of magic, his first spell since Gibbo stopped using a fake ID to get beers at the Railway Hotel apparently, and he claimed a wicket in the process. Well done Deato and well played to the Preso boys in conditions which might be repeated a few times over the next 2 months. See more
