25.01.2022 Public Health Alert Community members on Brisbane’s southside are asked to remain alert but not alarmed as Queensland records three new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The first case is a 19-year-old woman who tested positive after travelling interstate last week. She is an employee at Parklands Christian College on Brisbane’s southside. Queensland Health is working closely with the school which has temporarily closed until further notice.... The second case is a 19-year-old female travel companion. Both cases travelled interstate together last week. It is believed they contracted the virus in Melbourne, Victoria. The third reported case is a known close contact, a 22-year-old woman, who tested positive later today. This individual is an employee of YMCA Chatswood Hills Outside School Hours Care. Queensland Health is working closely with the school and the care centre, both of which have temporarily closed until further notice. 20.01.2022 Week 1 down of the Fraser Island Champagne Pools Walk Way replacement works for Qld Parks & Wildlife (a world heritage project). An amazing collaborative effort from all those involved. Started with a fantastic Blessing & Smoke Ceremony from the Butchulla people welcoming us to country & blessing us with the land ensuring we nurture & care for it respectfully. The Fraser coast is truly a magical place. A special mention to the Ordanga crew onsite moving approximately 80 tonne of timber & creating a first class product.

20.01.2022 We finally have our telephones, internet & email up & running Organisation of these services is certainly confusing! With our phones being Commander it was suggested by Telstra that our land lines be transferred to Commander as well. So when we transferred the land lines only (as far as we knew) what Telstra failed to explain was the internet runs from one of these lines & we would need to transfer our internet service to Commander too. So our lines were transferred 3 month...s ago - happy days - land lines with Commander, internet & mobiles with Telstra.... suddenly Thursday we have no internet. We ring Telstra who advise to ring Commander, ring Commander to hear ring Telstra. After many phone calls Telstra advise they have on our file internet going to another provider so after moving the phone lines 3 months ago they eventually just cut the internet with no notice. When we ask if they can switch back on told it will be 2-3 weeks!! Thankfully Commander were more helpful with someone out today who have given us a temporary option until Thursday when the full internet is up & running with Commander. To add addition to Telstras poor service whilst were all hot-spotting through our phones this morning (so we can at least get some work done) suddenly no internet - an Australian wide outage Seriously, if we ran our business like this wed be out of business!
