There was never a doubt, coz ya know.Labrador players are tough and you all took it in your stride! A sincere and very personal thank you from Ray & Ang to absolutely everyone who showed resilience, grit and loyalty through a tough year riddled with covid restrictions and obstacles, but as alway...s, we come out on top coz that's just the Lab way! 13.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL JUNIOR & SENIOR TEAMS The Australian Government has announced new community sport guidelines to combat the spread of COVID-19, as of 19 March 2020. The experts advised that community sport could play on. And SHOULD play on due to the health and mental well being benefits that participating in sport provides people and communities.... HOW DOES THIS AFFECT YOU AND YOUR TEAM We will be implementing some additional measures to help protect our players and members during this time. Some major points are outlined below, for detailed information please follow the link. We ask that everyone please does their part during this difficult time so that we can continue playing and reduce the risk of illness spreading. * Amended time slots with longer breaks between games to ensure the flow of players in out and out of the venue * Junior game times now 4.15pm, 5.00pm * Senior game times now 6.00pm, 6.50pm, 7.40pm, 8.30pm * Unnecessary spectators should not attend please * If you are feeling unwell - DO NOT ATTEND * Please arrive just before your game and leave as soon as possible after * We will disinfect the ball & tags before and after each game * Promotion of regular and thorough hand washing. Hand wash provided in the toilets * Minimise physical contact as much as is practicable, for example no shaking hands or high fives * Recommendation that spectators keep a distance of 1.5 meters between themselves and others * We will not be bringing the esky down for the remainder of this season. Please make sure everyone brings their own waters * We will not be setting up the tables & chairs for the remainder of this season. Spectators are welcome to bring their own camp chairs * I am trying to get a hand sanitiser dispenser for each field for players to use before taking the field, however they are very hard to get at the moment. 03.01.2022 The annual Ray Warwick Memorial Golf Day is coming up on Fri 4 Dec! RAY WARWICK, a family man and a very good friend, passed away suddenly on 18th May 2018, aged just 44. His passing has left a huge void in the lives of many and we would like to continue to honor his memory. Off the back of 2 very successful events in 2018 and 2019, the organisers were determined to hold this event again this year, despite COVID. The Claret Jug is again up for grabs. Kim Warwick has deci...ded that the Jack Beasley Foundation will this year again be the beneficiary of this event, as we not only remember Ray, but also Jack, whose life was cut tragically and senselessly short in December 2019.
