25.01.2022 Please reconsider any new ear piercings this close to the start of the season. All netball associations nationally have a strict no taping jewellery rule which means no taping of ears.

24.01.2022 TEAM PHOTO DAY Due to the restrictions in place at the park on a Saturday by NSW Health we have had to schedule teams photos for Sunday the 23rd. Check with your team manager or coach for your teams scheduled time slot.

23.01.2022 With a heavy heart we share the news that our founding member Linda Tunnicliff has passed away. Linda founded the Padstow RSL Demons Netball club with her sister in 2008. She was our Umpires Convenor, National C Umpire, Umpires Coach, trivia night quiz master, fundraiser queen, and our friend. She was also a founding member of Saints Netball club, a life member of Bankstown Netball Association (BCNA), served as the Competition Convenor for BCNA for 14 years making sure the ...competition ran smoothly year after year and has been involved in the Deveral Park competition either as a player or volunteer for over 20 years. Linda was a passionate volunteer and dedicated so many hours to the sport of Netball by serving her Club and the Association. We will miss her and are so grateful for the work she put into our club over the years. We will keep her Mother Pat, Sister Jessica, Brothers Tom and David and their families in our thoughts as we mourn the loss of this wonderful lady who we were so lucky to have as a volunteer, a member and as a friend. 22.01.2022 If any of our Junior players are interested in learning to umpire this season please get in touch so we can register them to attend the Umpires Camp. This is a 2 part course and the cost of attending will be covered by the club. We are limited to 4 spaces so first to confirm will be given preference.

19.01.2022 Hi All, BCNA have shared with all clubs that NSW Health have done 2 spot checks on the park and have pointed out a few things for us to keep an eye on. They ask that we remind everyone of the following: ... If any of these orders are breached (ie: jumping barriers / more than 1 spectator per player) the BCNA executive will be handing out penalties to the Team the player/spectator are associated with. Remind players to enter in the relevant zone that they play. Due to a lot of NON-Executive coming through the barriers near the club house. We are having to make the hard decision not to allow anyone cross this section unless it is an emergency. PLEASE make sure that your players, coach, manager, umpires and sidelines are entered onto the white sheets that are provided with the score sheets (unless of course you use your own). NSW Health have been through again and checked these sheets and told us that they must be completed properly with court number and team names. Thanks for your understanding and patients.

17.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT regarding COVID-19 Due to unforseen circumstances and on advice from Netball NSW we unfortunately have to postpone the start of our Netball seaso...n until Saturday 2 May 2020. All Club/Representative/Metro training is postponed until further notice. Stay safe and take care. BCNA Executive

17.01.2022 To ensure play can commence next Saturday the 18th and Deverall park can stay under limits a few changes have had to be made. These changes were not taken lightly and we thank you for you understanding. Playing times until advised otherwise: 8:30am - 10 & 13 years 9:45am - 11 & 14 years... 11:00am- 9 & 12 years 12:15pm - 7 & 8 years Rotating afternoon times 12:45pm- Div 1, Div 4 & 15/16A 2:00pm - Div 2, Div 5 & 15/16B 3:15pm - Div 3, Div 6 & Inters These times may change after depending on restrictions. Other information: No excess spectators, please keep to a minimum and follow any instructions from the club and district executive. Canteen will be open Coffee van will be open No BBQ at this stage No scooters or bikes All children must be with a parent/guardian at all times. Please keep movement around the courts to a minimum Follow the signs to enter and exit

The executive are working on a COVID plan at... the moment and should have this finalised to be sent to the Canterbury Bankstown Council shortly. 04.01.2022 BCNA and Padstow RSL Demons would like to invite our players, parents, supporters and friends of Linda to assist with a Guard of Honour outside Linda's Mass service at the St Patrick's Church Revesby Heights this Friday 12th June. Please meet outside the church at 11:15am Its unfortunate that due to Covid-19 restrictions the family have a limited number of people they can have with them in the church. Anyone who wishes to pay their respects to Linda and her family (prior to ...live streaming the service at 12:30 later in the day) is welcome to attend the guard of honour. All attendees will be directed to follow social distancing rules standing 1.5m apart, so we ask that all follow the instructions given from the Olsen Funeral directors on the day.
