BUSHFIRE EMERG...ENCY WARNING MESSAGE FORCETT FIRE 201651 Current from: 08/01/2013 12:54 PM until: 08/01/2013 03:00 PM or further notice There is a large bushfire at between Forcett and the Tasman Peninsula . The fire danger rating in this area is forecast to be high . Fire under these conditions can be difficult to control . The fire is NOW impacting on Eaglehawk Neck, Pirates Bay, Doo Town, Old Jetty Road and Blowhole Road People in this area need to evacuate now to their Nearby Safer Place either Pirates Bay boat ramp or Eaglehawk Neck Beach. This bushfire is currently not controlled. There may be embers, smoke and ash falling on the areas of Eagle Hawk Neck, Pirates Bay, Doo Town, Old Jetty Road and Blowhole Road areas prior to the fire front . People along Blackman Bay Road and Bangor area, to the north of the peninsula, may experience smoke during the afternoon. People in the area north of Copping, east of the top end of the fire, Kellervie Road through to Marion Bay, may also be impacted by smoke. Reported Road Closures:Arthur Highway from the junction of Old Forcett Road to the junction of Arthur Highway/Nubeena Road, Taranna. Fulham Road, from the junction of Primrose Sands Road to Gellibrand Street, Dunally. Sugarloaf Road is closed from Arthur Highway through to the junction with Carlton River Road. What to do: Activate your bushfire plan now It is likely to be too late to leave the area. If your home is well constructed, prepared and actively defended, it may provide shelter. If you dont have a plan or your plan is to leave leave now, only if the path is clear. This may include a neighbouring property or other cleared area close by that is not at risk from fire.
