This is a reprocess of one of my images of Mars from the other night, this time using Registax. Whilst not perfect by a long shot, it is amazing to see the detail emerge using Registax’s wavelet sharpening! We had a rare clear night in Melbourne last night and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Shot with my Nikon D810A, but after my last attempt at planetary photography, I knew I needed much more magnification - even with the 2800mm focal length of my Celestron Edge 1100HD.
