01.01.2022 CENTRAL COAST HISTORY Our top photo shows Harold Hunt tending to his newly planted Pecan Trees in the 1980s. He planted them all by hand with his wife Myra - "The Pecan Lady" Now 40 years on the trees are as beautiful and vibrant as ever. Unfortunately Harold passed away just as the trees were starting to bear. Which always brings to mind this fitting quote:... "Society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.
