15.01.2022 Inspiration from Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber for the safe return of theatre to our lives.

13.01.2022 And backstage in 'Easy Virtue', with newlyweds John and Larita Whittaker, aka Blake Stringer and Alayne Wright. 'Larita,' mutters the disapproving elder Mrs W, 'an excellent name for musical comedy.' (Miaow!)

10.01.2022 Just some of the participants at tonight's Playwrights@Peridot Zoom Reading - the others didn't fit on the page! I don't think we've had visitors from interstate (Paula from Queensland) or overseas (Bill from London) at our readings before! Congratulations to Damian Vuleta on his play 'Edward'. Thanks to Wendy McRae, Christine Tompkins, Bob Bramble and Andrew McIver for reading so well.

06.01.2022 'EASY VIRTUE' by Noel Coward, stylishly directed by Horrie Leek, November 2013. This witty satire examines the manners and morals of English society in the 1920's. Featured below, Cate Dowling Trask as Mrs Whittaker and Chris Hodson as Colonel Whittaker, both scandalised by their son's whirlwind marriage to an 'unsuitable' woman. Jackie Fraser (Marion) and Asja Sarajlic (Hilda) meet their new sister-in-law 'Larita', played by Alayne Wright.

05.01.2022 Normally, we'd have been posting pix from the 2020 Monash One Act Play Festival today. Sadly, it was not to be. Here are some pix from last year's festival. How many plays/personalities do you recognise?

03.01.2022 'Easy Virtue', November 2013. All dressed up for a party backstage. (Gillian Holley, John Murphy, Stephanie King, Alison Knight, Mandy Murray and Gerry Murray, Nicky Neville-Jones.) Larita (Alayne Wright) and Charles (Andrew Ferguson) enjoy the Tatler. Shock and horror (Cate Dowling Trask, Jackie Fraser and Asja Sarajlic) Larita takes the Whittakers (Cate Dowling Trask and Chris Hodson) to task.
