12.01.2022 At PSPC we recognise and pay respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ culture and heritage understanding. National Reconciliation Week is celebrated each year from 27 May to 3 June. The dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journeythe anniversaries of the successful 1967 referendum and the Mabo decision. This week our students have been learning about the traditional owners of the land, and the unique place of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture within this country.

11.01.2022 Dear Parents and Caregivers I am writing to provide you with updated information regarding COVID-19. I understand that there is an increasing level of anxiety, given current media coverage of the latest health alerts from interstate and the potential impact on our school community. We are continuing to liaise very closely with public health authorities and our own Department in relation to the latest developments and will act immediately on their advice.... I can reassure you that the most up-to-date advice from Queensland Health is that our school is safe, and we will continue to operate as normal. The health, safety and welfare of your children, our students, continues to be my number one focus. We continue to monitor the situation and our school remains open. Should that advice change, I will act immediately and take whatever action is necessary to safeguard the welfare of every member of our school community. While we currently do not have any confirmed cases at our school, I will update the school community immediately should this change. If you have any concerns about whether to send your child to school or not, I would ask that you please contact the school on 55495333. Our school has been taking all appropriate precautions regarding health and hygiene and we will continue to take the advice of Queensland Health in response to this significant public health issue. We all have a role to play to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community. If you or any members of your household develop symptoms or feel unwell, please see your GP and call ahead before you visit. Further up-to-date information including interstate hotspots, contact tracing https://www.qld.gov.au//c/current-status/hotspots-covid-19, symptoms of COVID-19 and when to seek medical advice and prevention, can be found via Queensland Health https://www.qld.gov.au//conditions/he/coronavirus-covid-19 Please look out for each other during these difficult and challenging times. Yours sincerely Stuart MacKenzie Acting Principal

07.01.2022 The staff and students at PSPC would like to share with the community a massive THANK YOU to our P&C committee and all our marvellous volunteers. Throughout the year your support for our school has seen an amazing amount of activities for our students and community. 07.01.2022 We Appreciate You The P&C would like to say a massive thank you to the teachers of Pimpama State Primary College. This year has been an eye opener with teaching due to covid and at home learning. Personally it was wonderful to see my children engaging in the home learning on their computers, and to see the amount of work put into the online learning portal from the teachers was phenomenal. You not only had to teach from a distance but correspond in a new way to deliver the...ir curriculum. You were there for support through emails when they needed you and also there at school to teach the students of essential workers. We as parents were finally able to see what you see everyday when the kids learnt something new, or knew the answer to something that we had no idea that actually knew. It was exciting and amazing just to see how they took in all the information. We were able to see what you get the privilege of seeing 5 days a week and we now have a better understanding of what you all go through everyday with challenging and not so challenging situations. You were all so welcoming of the children returning to school when restrictions lifted and you have kept them safe with the continuous hygiene focus. You have done an outstanding job in an extraordinary situation, so once again thank you for all your amazing work this year. It definitely has not gone unnoticed. Keep up the great work P&C Exec team

03.01.2022 The P&C team would like to say a massive thank you to our volunteers. Last year we saw our volunteer base grow substantially throughout the year, and we were absolutely amazed with the hours and effort put in by our volunteers. Without the lovely people who gave their time with no hesitation, we would not have been able to have our discos, colour run, cookie dough fundraiser, Mother’s Day stall, Father’s Day stall, Christmas Stall, hamper drive, subway days, prize sorting an...d delivering, polling booth fundraiser and making the sandwiches for children who have come to school and left their lunch behind at home. We are honoured to be volunteering with such an amazing group of parents. Looking forward to seeing you all again when things are back to normal or the new normal whatever that might be. We appreciate everything you all do. Regards PSPC P&C Exec team
