DID YOU KNOW: The joint of your big toe, is the last joint to bend when you walk By putting a rocker at that point and then right across the ball of the foot, this enables you to push off more easily (give it an extra bend :)). 21.01.2022 Underlying Wounds. Wounds happen when there is a break in the skin. If unattended, it can lead to infections and in the feet, this isn’t the best especially if you have diabetes or peripheral neuropathy (loss of feeling sensation). . In this case, a wound was found under the nail. There was oozing purulent (pus) discharge and it seem to lift the nail slightly. After investigation and treatment, this wound was found! It’s important we lift and remove the covering nail to all...eviate pressure from the site. More pressure at that point can lead to making the wound bigger...next step here is redressing, deflection and footwear and foot care education!
