24.01.2022 Our men of steel are doing their best blue steel impersonations while installing the steel reinforcement required for the Midland Line retaining wall. After cro...ssing over the Forrestfield Line, the Perth-bound Midland Line trains will continue travelling on the southern side of the dive structure before reaching Bayswater Station. 110 cubic metres of concrete will be needed to turn this section of steel frames into a solid structure. The concre...te slab, which seals the bottom of the station box, was poured over six sessions totalling more than 70 hours of concrete pouring. See more

12.01.2022 Holy backfill Batman! We are using recycled spoil from tunnelling operations to backfill the Forrestfield Station retaining wall, with the ground level already raised by 2.5m along some sections of the wall.

First up, increasing her reps - repdigits that is, with 55% of her overall tunnelling journey and 7...7% of the tunnel section between Airport Central and Redcliffe stations now completed. Next on her new workout agenda: mountain climbs . She has just passed the lowest point of this drive, the 25m deep Airport West egress shaft, and is now climbing towards Redcliffe.
