By Lisa Testart For those who may not know, I have been beavering away at a book about starting your private practice this year. At 358 pages, with a huge appendix of forms, documents, a specialised marketing plan developed by me for the helping industry, and a plethora of other knowledge you didn’t even know you needed or wanted, this is no lightweight product and will stand the test of time. This book is designed to be a guide for those who are still studying, graduates and those who have been in practice for a while, because as has been shown in my FB private practice group, it doesn’t matter how far you are from your student days, there are still questions you have and areas you don’t address because you just aren’t aware, or don’t even know you don’t know the info you’re missing out on. You may just be thinking about private practice, wondering if it’s for you, or even a possibility, with no firm decision made. This book will definitely assist you to make informed choices, and consider your options even before you’ve completed your studies. I will be launching the book on November 25th in a full day exploration of the topics in the book.
