25.01.2022 Paddock Progress The next phase of paddocks is up and going. Matt’s been busy putting the steel corners in ready for us to finish them next weekend and maybe start the posts and run wires. ... The water line has begun being trenched in too. After these paddocks are all finished PVS will have 9 extra paddocks of around 90 x 50m each. On the adjacent property i’m very grateful that we will have another 4 paddocks fenced with the water line trenched in. This will give us another 12 acres to graze on a rotational basis. 22.01.2022 Pamela Kingwell from Bowen North Queensland who made the 1,100km journey to compete in the HHSA Preliminary, HHSA Novice and Hannover Verband Elementary classes..., on Santana D placing 11th in the Preliminary Championship with 25 points, and placing 3rd in the Novice Championship with 33 points and in the Hannoveraner Verband Elementary Championship on Why Waltz placed 6th overall with 30 points was awarded by the stewards the James Equestrian Horsemanship award. Pamela will receive either a service to the outstanding James Equestrian Furstenball stallion, Blenheim Park Footloose, or training services to the value of the service fee. Over the course of the show our stewards observed Pamela demonstrating exceptional horsemanship caring for her horses and lending support and offering encouragement to fellow competitors. 13.01.2022 Qld State Dressage Champs Wrap up We have arrived home safely and I’ve had a few moment to catch my breath and reflect on our wonderful time down south. I’ll... keep it short and sweet and summarize the week away by saying that the 2 horses, Why Waltz Hotshot and Santana D (owned by Loretta Bowron) gave me fantastic tests that were honest, consistent and genuine. Overall, I couldn’t of asked for much more. Thank you Harry and Sam and thank you Loretta for entrusting your boys training with me. HHSA Preliminary Championship Santana D 11th overall 1B - 69.268% - 13th 1C - 70.268% - 9th HHSA Novice Championship Why Waltz Hotshot - 3rd overall 2B - 72.426% - 6th 2C - 73.786% - 4th Santana D - 4th overall 2B - 73.382% - 5th 2C - 71.929% - 5th Hannoveraner Verband Elementary Championship Why Waltz Hotshot - 6th overall 3B - 69.750% 4th 3C - 67.317% 8th I couldn’t of been prouder of these horses over the duration of the competition and to top it off I got a little surprise on Saturday morning once we were on the way home. Anita Barton called to let me know that the official stewards over the course of the competition had chosen myself as the recipient of the JAMES EQUESTRIAN Horsemanship Award. (See the video attached for the announcement). Thank you James Equestrian for such a lovely award! I would love to say a massive thanks to Anita Barton and all of the people in front and behind the scenes that made The Saddlefitter CDN & QLD State Championships a great success under the difficult COVID situation! Every Novice test this horse has competed in range from 72% to 76% ridden by Pamela Kingwill. 7-year-old 17hh, Bay Oldenburg Hanoverian warmblood gelding. Bred by Matea and Shane Davidson. Santana D. Paternal breeding lines of Santana are Sire - Scolari Sandro Hit De Niro Donnerhall Weltmeyer (see pic 4.) This horse has had very little training. Brought under saddle as a 4-year-old by Shane and Mattea. Spent a year after that time out of work and maturing. His first-year intensive training has been this year under the tutelage of Pamela Kingwill (nee Schuler). In this year he has moved forward quickly and is now training Medium and will be competing Elementary in 2021. He has just turned 7. He will be returning to Townsville for a well-earned rest throughout December and will re-commence training in January under Pamela Kingwill in 2021. He is a sweet gentle loving horse who is very sensible and trustworthy more woe than go. I am considering parting with this beautiful soul due to the recent death of another horse who for personnel reasons has made me want to move out of owning horses. If you are interested in taking on this sweet boy he will be coming home for a rest in December and if not sold will return to full work wirh Pamela Kingwill in January.
