19.01.2022 COVID-19: All QMSLSC PROGRAMS CANCELLED Following Government and Surf Life Saving WA directives, all scheduled Club activities, excluding scaled-back patrols, are cancelled with immediate effect. This week Surf Life Saving WA released an updated recommendation with direction for Club's. The rampant nature of the COVID-19 virus and implications of contagion means stricter regimes have been recommended emphasising social distancing, essential activities and non-essential activi...ties. Essential QMSLSC activity is life saving and beach patrols. Responsible action for the Club is to heed advice and cancel or significantly postpone all scheduled activities other than patrols. As we know, the COVID 19 landscape literally changes from day to day. Our intention is to do what is best for members and keep our Community safe. We will continue to keep members informed on developments and the rescheduling of any events or activities as information becomes available. 18.01.2022 The WA State Masters Championships was held at Denmark on the 29th February 13 Masters athletes and family members (thanks for all your cheering and support , I am sure it made us all run faster !! ) made our way down to Denmark for a great long weekend. Congratulations to EVERYONE who competed on Saturday what fantastic results , so proud of you all . Quinns took home 5 Individual Gold medals ,... 1 Team Gold medal, 5 Individual Silver Medals and 5 Individual Bronze medals. These individuals invested in excess of 90 hours across the pillars of Lifesaving, Surf Sports & Training - an outstanding achievement! If you are feeling unwell, or have returned from overseas or self-isolated within the past 14 days, please respect government and SLSWA guidelines and do not attend club activities.... The Board and Officers of the club take the current COVID-19 (Corona Virus) situation seriously and will review and make a decision regarding remaining club activities for the season on a weekly basis.
