21.01.2022 COMPLEX CARE Complex care is a specialty of QHACS. We provide a social support model when providing you with complex care.... Our support workers have extensive training and are assessed before they are able to provide support to you. Any additional support that may be too complex for our support workers will be provided by a nurse. The benefit of having nurses available is support workers are continiously trained and improved, with skill sets to match your support requirements. At all times a nurse will be available for support workers to contact 24/7. Nurses will be involved in evaluating the support needs to it meets the client’s wants, needs and goals. Our support staff are trained to the QHACS standard and are supervised by qualified and experienced mental health nurses.

08.01.2022 Queensland Health Academy is partnered with a Registered Training Organisation. We are able to provide training and assessment for staff enrolled in community services qualifications and skill sets. Our support staff are trained to be able to provide complex care, we train our staff in the following: Certificate in community service programs such as individual support Medication assistance... PEG feeding and maintenance Tracheotomy care First aid and CPR other skill sets as per client support needs. All of our clinical training is delivered by nurses with training qualifications. Staff are required to complete theoretical training with a 100% pass rate, complete practical tasks under direct observations and continue to update every 12 months. We are able to provide training and assessment to other support workers employed within other organisations. Contact us for more information.
