23.01.2022 Changes to Hannah’s groups 1, 6 and 8 for January: Hannah is changing the days and times of her groups for the school holidays due to travelling in for lessons over the break. Her lessons will be on Wednesday and Thursdays at the following times: - Group 1: 11am - Group 6: 11.30am... - Group 8: 12pm These lessons will resume on Wednesday 6th January.

20.01.2022 Yes the dreaded AGM and call out for help! We know we're not alone in needing help from volunteers but many hands really do make light work. We have a small group of volunteers that have kept the QASC running for many years, but help is needed.... Without new people stepping forward and learning the ropes this great club can't operate. Swimming is an essential life skill - let's work together so West Coast children can continue to learn to swim. Interested in helping but unable to go to the meeting? Send us a message :) Meeting will be held Monday 24 August at 7pm

18.01.2022 Time Trials start back this Thursday 6pm for 6.30 start. REMINDERS : 3 swims only We need a representative from each family to time keep. The more lanes the quicker we can get through the swims.

16.01.2022 Group 10 Wednesday’s Training session will be Thursday 3rd Dec at 5pm this week due to MHS grade 6 leavers dinner. Session will be focused on skills in preparation for Time trials afterwards at 6pm. Training tomorrow is as normal.

Bronze Medallion, Lifeguard, CPR and first aid courses will be offered - but only if enough people enrol within the next week. See post comments for more details. These nationally-accredited qualifications can assist in gaining employment in several areas, as well as providing valuable community assistance. ... 15.01.2022 Interested in getting qualified to teach swimming & water safety? The last Austswim Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety course for 2020 is being held this weekend in Hobart. Go to https://tas.training.royallifesaving.com.au to enrol.... This is a nationally accredited qualification and one held by all QASC swim teachers/coaches.

09.01.2022 The QASC Committee advises our members and life members that the 2019-2020 Presentation Evening, scheduled for 4 April, has been postponed. It is important that our members understand this is a postponement, not a cancellation. We know how excited they are each year for this event. When the time is right we will hold a function so that we can recognise the fabulous efforts and achievements of our members during this season. Our major fundraising raffle will still be drawn on ...4 April. Those who still have raffle books please message us via this page and we will make arrangements for drop off/collection. 08.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who came along to our AGM last night! Congratulations to: President - Christine Goss... Vice President - Amelia Campbell Secretary- Hannah Pearce Treasurer - Sharon Schulze With new people offering to help out, over the next 8 weeks we'll be compiling a list of items that can be delegated around throughout the year (many hands make light work!). As a Club we are taking steps to plan for operations to meet COVID-19 requirements and will hopefully be meeting with Council soon to go through our plans for the 20-21 season and to get an update on pool operations (ie expected opening dates etc).

05.01.2022 Update on lessons for Krystie’s groups 5 and 9. No lessons next week. Lessons will resume first week of January on the following dates: ... Monday 4th and Wednesday 6th January (this is a part of our Christmas break, but Krystie can’t do the following week, so make up lessons in this time). No lessons Monday 11th and Wednesday 13th January. Lessons resume as normal on 18th January.

Swimmer of the Week is awarded to the swimmer who has taken the most combined time off their personal best times at that time trial. Well done
