18.01.2022 For the first post of our #FlashbackFriday series, we revisit the first #Racketlon tournament at La Trobe University. Most of the competitors were playing racketlon for the first time, but the experienced Scottish pair, Calum Munro & Niall Munro brushed aside the first timers with ease, before meeting each other in the final. The final was tight across all four sports, with the #badminton being particularly impressive. Calum defeated his son 16/18 12/15 15/12 15/11 (+2)... Winners of the other events: A Grade: Anurag Hydra Gill B Grade: Josefine Paulie C Grade: Anton Jurkiw

17.01.2022 Racketlon has arrived in Sydney! A taster event in Willoughby / Artarmon this morning featured 4 x 2 player teams. Next, were looking at a 8 x 4 player team event on a Saturday afternoon in April. Want to join us?... Comment below! See more

15.01.2022 4 years ago today Calum Munro won yet another #racketlon title at La Trobe Uni Sports Centre. Calum is pictured here with former Racketlon Australia President Niel Burton. Niel organised stacks of tournaments in Melbourne during his reign from 2015-2017, including the 2016 Oceania Champs against Racketlon New Zealand. ... Thanks again for your hard work, Niel!

14.01.2022 9 years ago today Doubles Day at the 2011 Melbourne University Racketlon Champs! Sam Bennett & Raymond Lumantarna picked up their first #Racketlon title! They beat #squash specialists Cameron Morris & Nathan Patterson in the Mens Doubles. ... Meanwhile in the Mixed Doubles Gillian Patmore started her racketlon career with a win! Gill & Calum Munro defeated Wern Li Teh & tournament director Martin Stradling.

13.01.2022 10 years ago today The 2010 La Trobe Uni Winter Racketlon was notable for two reasons: 1. For the first time we had players come across from Melbourne Uni for the tournament 2. There were 3 matches that were decided by Gummiarms! ... Defending champion Calum Munro won through to the final with relative ease. But then he faced Martin Stradling from Melbourne Uni, who had been in inspired form all day. It was a tight battle until the #squash and then Marty never looked back. He won 15/9 11/15 15/6 9/7 (+13) In the womens final, Samantha Gavin was trailing Jenni Tran by 14 points after #badminton but managed to snatch victory in a Gummiarm! 14/16 3/15 15/3 15/13 1/0 (+1). James Tong showed us why he should have been in A Grade with a clinical performance in the B. James was pushed in the final by Daryl Susigan, but was triumphant 13/15 18/16 15/3 15/17 (+10). And in the C Grade, Ze-Aun Goon was too good for Keeran Braham. An honourable mention goes to Olympian David Bamford who ended up on the wrong side of not one, but two Gummiarms in the tournament!! Dont know what a Gummiarm is? Check out this article written by Swiss racketlon player Cdric Juninho: https://www.racketlon.net///gummi-arm-sporting-tiebreaker/

12.01.2022 Were on! Help us get over the line against the USA with a vote! :)

11.01.2022 Eric Durand has defeated Oceania champion Sion Wiggin in the NZ Open Racketlon Champs. Unfortunately though, that was only good enough for 2nd in his pool. Standing in the way of a podium finish for Eric is fellow Australian, Leigh Sands. Theyre playing off for 3rd/4th right now!

11.01.2022 Want to play Racketlon in Thailand next January? Two Australians have already entered! Pattaya based Aussie, Peter Savige, is the first entrant. Peter came 4th in Seniors +55 in the 2019 Thailand Open, has been doing circuit training alongside his racquet sports training to stay strong.... Defending A Grade Doubles champion, Leigh Sands, is the other entrant. Amongst his racquet sports training, Leigh is working on a change to his tennis serving technique, to improve power and consistency.

11.01.2022 Racketlon is now on Meetup in Sydney!

11.01.2022 Well, Eric and Leigh didnt quite bring home the title, but they did give it a red hot go. Congratulations to Kashif & Victor winning the final by just 3 points!

09.01.2022 First tournament of 2021 has been announced! Sydneysiders, get amongst it!

09.01.2022 9 years ago today - 2011 Melbourne University Racketlon Singles Sylvia Tiet won her first of many #racketlon titles by reversing her previous result against Jenni Tran in the Womens A final. The Mens A was arguably the strongest field ever seen in an Australian tournament. Kishor Bhalerao exploded onto the scene, destroying Australian no. 6 Michal Ugarenko before he even had a chance to pick up his #tennis racquet ... Kishor almost continued his run into the quarters against no. 3 Niall Munro. Niall managed to hold his nerve to take the winner-takes-all tennis and the match +3. It was a similar story for another debutant, Franois Bationo (who later went on to represent Australia). Francois defeated 7th seed Raymond Lumantarna before tennis then won two sports (but not enough points) against Calum Munro in the quarter final. The two Munros had a nail-biter against each other in the semi final. The #badminton and #squash both went to deuce, before Calum took the match by just ONE POINT! 1 In the other semi final, tournament director Martin Stradling was too strong for the improving Leigh Sands, winning everything except #squash to take the match +14. So after all that, the final was once again contested by Calum Munro and Martin Stradling. Previously, theyd won one each against each other - who was going to win battle 3? Calum took the lead in the #tabletennis and then never looked back, taking the title +9. In the Mens B, Felix Fung won his semi against Quoc Pham by 1 point, before beating James Lam +7 in the final. Tricia Gabriel was miles too strong in the Womens B, showing us all that she wouldnt have been out of place in the A!

08.01.2022 Tonight Racketlon Australia will be attending a workshop hosted by the Federation of International Racketlon. Do you have any questions youd like us to ask the international body?

08.01.2022 Do you want the good news or the bad news? The bad news: With the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, the Wangaratta Racketlon Teams Tournament will no longer go ahead on Sunday, 19 July. The good news: We have a new date for it! Put Sunday, 13 September in your diary.... Now you all have more time to train your weaker sports! #TableTennis #Badminton #Squash #Tennis

08.01.2022 Due to Coronavirus, the Wangaratta Racketlon scheduled for 13 September has been cancelled. Racketlon Australia still plans to host a tournament in Wangaratta when it is safe to do so.

08.01.2022 Which of the four racquet sports are you missing most? And why? #TableTennis #Badminton #Squash #Tennis

03.01.2022 10 years ago today Niall Munro & John Cashion won their first racketlon titles in the 2010 Monash University #Racketlon Tournament. Sam Bennett played some delightful #badminton against Justin Partridge in the quarter final and Leigh Sands in the semi. Sams 15/1 badminton victory was crucial in the semi as he ended up winning the match by just one point! 1... In the top half of the draw, Niall Munro was showing why its such an advantage in racketlon to be competent in all four racquet sports. #Squash player Christian Jaber managed to win his own sport but Niall won the other three sets comfortably. #Tennis specialist Michal Ugarenko went one better in the semi final. He won tennis and #TableTennis but Nialls dominance in the middle two sports ensured a +15 victory. Niall saved his best for last and managed to win all four sports in the final against Sam Bennett. The B Grade final was contested by two members of the Monash University Squash Club. Robin Clark won the bragging rights in the squash 19/17, but John Cashion won the other three sports to win the title!

03.01.2022 Aussie no.1 Leigh Sands is happy with his time and performances at the NZ Open in Palmy today.
