25.01.2022 TOEGA! An awesome kids yoga game or exercise and it gets asked for often!! This is a great addition to the game played in class! If you have pom poms at home place them on the floor and have fun picking them all up with your feet. Great for coordination, relaxation and focus. ... Also working with straws and/or your breath is a great exercise too. You could also use cotton wool balls!

Then, sit with your legs extended wide, place your hands and arms under your bent knees and gently stretch towards the floor. Keep breathing slowly and steadily while you practice. Gently release.

13.01.2022 Triangle Posture! Stretch your whole body! Great for your muscles, nervous system, digestion and appetite. Feet are wide, breathe in and bring your arms out to the sides, breathe out and bend to the right and place your hand near your ankle or on your foot. Bend your knee if this helps. Bring the left arm up towards the ceiling and look up at your hand. Hold a moment Breathe in and return to standing. Breathe out and relax. REPEAT on the left side.... Great instruction! 1) Legs over the head pose ... 2) Flying lotus - Warm up first with a few gentle postures. - Practice these difficult poses with awareness. - Practice at your level, these are great to do even if you dont reach the full posture just yet! - Relax and breathe. Make sure you have practiced other beginner yoga postures before attempting these. Im practicing these too at the moment! Namaste

Also remember when practicing balances to find a focus point to look at while balancing Stand up tall with your eyes looking ahead towards your focus point. Keep breathing in and breathing out as you practice dancer. Bend your right knee and take hold of your right foot. Steadily take your right leg back behind you so that your back gently arches and bring the left arm in front of you, stretched out to assist in balancing. (Or keep your hand on the wall). Hold for a moment or 2 if possible. Gently release. Well done! Now repeat on the left side. Excellent! Om shanti!

Some are here on this facebook page and there are many other resources available. * Remember to take a few moments in a counter-pose after each posture. 9 Advanced Yoga Postures (see article for pictures and step by step instruction). 1) CROW (patient crane) 2) FOREARM STAND (I have not taught this in class yet as childrens bodies are still developing so it is important to learn the other postures first).
