Even though the garden is cut back hard and there's very little colour, the garden still looks great. This is because everything in it has a place and is balanced. I don't complicate things in the garden, just keep it very simple and it should work

20.01.2022 My garden is never sitting still. The lobelia and pansies are in full flower but I know that they are going to be short lived once the warmer weather starts to come in. I'm now interplanting summer annuals such as petunias, marigold etc. which will take over where the winter/spring flowers once we're. The herbaceous plants are now starting to grow much faster. Soon they should be in flower.

Now you can see where the future problems may possibly be when planting out the garden. Don't spend any money until you know exactly what you are looking at. 18.01.2022 My native wildflowers are in full swing now. The last to come through was the scaveola. My vertical garden I made with my kids. Sphagnum moss, chicken wire, metal wire and a plant. A wise man once said, "Don't complicate it, keep it simple", so I did.... These plants are maidenhair fern and jungle brake fern on a 9ft tree fern. Both native to Australia. See more

13.01.2022 Spider mite damage! These tiny little guys suck the life out of your plants often to the point where the plant will die if untreated. They also breed like crazy... and attack a huge range of plants (indoors and out) which is why they’re a major pest. Don’t let the damage get this bad as it’s virtually impossible to save a plant like this. Instead spray thoroughly with eco-oil or eco-neem at the first sign of damage (look for speckling on the foliage). Do a repeat spray a few days later and then watch your plants very closely for any fresh damage. Check nearby plants too.
