25.01.2022 So delighted to share with you some REAL LIVE ACTUAL GIGS in November
22.01.2022 I had the pleasure of contributing to two ‘11 degrees - Songs from Melbourne’ tunes led by @thatbloodypaddy over the last few weeks. An awesome project that got a lot of us musicians to re-invent and re-record great songs written by fellow Melbourne musos. This last one is ‘Boneshaker’ by Tim Hocking of The Spin. Link to more in my bio!
21.01.2022 OK let’s try this again, this time with the right video... ISO-CHOIR 3.0: Songs of the Sea (from Little Songs and Lullabies) Daniel Zisin’s exceptional children...'s book (an absolute must-have for parents of young kids) is full of these little gems, but this one is my favourite. I fell in love with it instantly when I first heard it, and felt the immediate urge to do an a cappella arrangement. Here is the result, sung by six beautiful people: Ral Williams, Emma Yarosh, Katie Weston, Sally Van Der Zwart, Nick Karasavvidis, and of course the illustrious composer himself. Hope you enjoy! In fact, if you do, why not go to YouTube and give it a like or a comment and help me boost my views? https://youtu.be/pXhQ62PGsSA While you’re there, you can check out my other Iso-choir offerings to date (and there is another one coming around the corner!): Iduna's Scarf (from Frozen 2): https://youtu.be/6SEZ1cGkWTs Ahavat Yisrael Baneshama: https://youtu.be/mK60kiiKvqA
19.01.2022 Wrap your ears around this beauty from @foolstheband - couldn’t be a more appropriate song about searching for truth in the media right now. Yep - there’s 13 of us there! Major props to @alexweyburyofficial for putting it together and @dontlukenow for being the man with the plan.
18.01.2022 La Nuit Blanche did a little pop up (socially distanced) concert for Bastille day on Tuesday night - you can watch it here x

09.01.2022 It’s been a tradition on Grand Final weekend for 8 years that we’ve done a Williams Sings Winehouse gig at the Paris Cat. Most years it sells out weeks in advance and usually with people who’ve made it a tradition to come...so much fun. We all know how this year goes... but, I’m so pleased to let you know we’ll be bringing you a few of our fave Amy Winehouse tunes next weekend over the powers of the internet with guys from all different year’s bands combined!! Stay tuned xx
08.01.2022 The White Tree - LIVE
08.01.2022 About a hundred years ago (actually, maybe 9) I ‘couch surfed’ at a very cool and chic couple’s place in Burgundy for a few nights. I just found this photo I took of some gorgeous handwritten recipes that I recall being stuck all over one of the walls. Maybe it’s time to give one of them a go!
07.01.2022 Long live the Paris Cat!! I got my first ever ‘me’ gig here 9 years ago and they been the most supportive of me and so many other musicians as we go along our musical paths. So glad they’re getting a look-in with support so they can keep doing what they do. xx
05.01.2022 Welcome back to 11 Degrees with Episode 10 - What In Hell (Paul Cummings). It seems like I have known Paul Cummings all his life. I first bumped into him when I... was about four, from memory. Seems like a lifetime. Paul was way underage when his band first supported mine in pubs around Melbourne, and still a nipper when he joined Darkhorse on guitar and backing vocals. We wrote some killer tunes, and he contributed this one on his own in 1992. Although it was one of the best songs we ever did, it didn’t get a lot of love in the set. We were going for heavy dirty grungy funk, and What in Hell was a bit lighter and poppier. Over the years we have done many covers gigs in bands and duos, but this tune has stood the test of time really well. I gave Gaz my acoustic idea and he and Dan picked up what I was putting down and made it awesome. Then Raleigh added some great keys and a rich warm vocal treatment and a whole bag of melodies and harmonies. Tim jumped on and added some heartbreaking guitar magic. These days Paul teaches guitar, piano, bass, and mandolin at Shamrock Music, is the man to see for all things gear at KC’s Rockshop, and mentors musos of all ages at Weekend Warriors. Ladies and gentleman, we give you What in Hell, by Paul Cummings. Oh and he’s a good bloke too. I am biased tho. Listen to / watch the original here: see link in comments. 05.01.2022 FOOLS have a new single coming out this week! It is a stunning song and we all had such an amazing time doing it, only weeks before the world turned upside down, actually. Keep an eye on our socials this week to be the first to hear it!!
05.01.2022 WILLIAMS SINGS WINEHOUSE: ISO EDITION Well, it’s Grand Final weekend and for the first time in 8 years we’re not at the Paris Cat gearing up for our massive show with lots of familiar faces and good times... But, the Williams Sings Winehouse band has brought you one of our fave Amy Winehouse songs for your at-home enjoyment! Including members from different bands over the last few years - and Paddy from Fingerprint Audio did an awesome job putting it together (so much so, we ...have a second alternate video I’ll be loading up too for fun!) Thanks to all my wonderful band members for contributing their awesome parts (and a special mention to Dave Gooey who surprised me with a dance vid too good to omit!) Hope you enjoy the couple of little surprises in the video, and that you all have a safe and happy weekend. See you soon, back on a stage. Raleigh xx
03.01.2022 Just a reminder that tomorrow night Nathan Liow and I will be back again at Tempo Rubato for our final installation of our ‘Reimagined’ series - this time covering repertoire by the incredible Nina Simone. 8pm tomorrow folks! xx
01.01.2022 Check out this latest FOOLS iso clip to boost your evening. It’s no mean feat combining 13 parts like this together but Alex Weybury did a killer job! Can’t wait to perform with all these folk when we’re on the other side of this whole thing. X
