25.01.2022 For those of you playing along at home (particularly interstate!), this explains the reason that SA seemingly went in and out of lockdown in a big hurry and also why a pizza bar in the suburbs was the centre of so much investigation and energy. There are still numerous leads SA Health are following of potential community transfer from the initial links so we will sit tight for now but hope to have some good news about returning our service in the coming days.
24.01.2022 Good Evening All, The RDASA Board met tonight and resolved to put a pause on all activities at our Riding Centres for the next two weeks. This will come into effect from tomorrow morning (17th November), we will monitor this decision on an ongoing basis. ... All activities are cancelled on site and visitors should be limited to essential workers only. A summary of how the next two weeks will play out is listed below: Centre Activities: No Sessions delivered, No individual or group sessions to be offered. No face to face volunteer training, No group training on RDASA sites. No group meetings on RDASA sites, All meetings to be conducted via online or telephone format. All non-essential maintenance projects postponed, All maintenance activities conducted in groups less than 10 people. All non-essential horse welfare programs and project postponed, All horse welfare activities including feeding and exercising to be conducted in groups less than 10 people. Access to horse keeping and equipment areas limited to essential personnel only, Implement relevant Biosecurity measures as per the RDA SA Biosecurity Standard. We understand and share the disappointment that this decision will cause our clients and volunteers and hope that by acting quickly and supporting the community in SA by limiting our interactions with each other over the next couple of weeks, that we can offer a return to activity in the not too distant future. Thanks for your ongoing support. Keep yourself and your family safe. Regards Justin Dent RDASA State Manager
24.01.2022 Spring has sprung!

21.01.2022 Good Afternoon All, I'm pleased to announce that activity can recommence at RDASA from Tuesday December 1! All clients will be able to access services but everyone will need to adhere to our COVID Safe Principles each time they visit one of our Centres.... The COVID Safe Principles are listed below, please note the addition of mandated mask wearing for volunteers and staff providing physical supports within 1.5m. If you, or people you have been in contact with are sick - do not attend your RDA Centre, advise your coach and seek medical advice. If you don’t feel safe attending your RDA Centre, please notify your coach and stay away. If you have a pre-existing condition or situation that makes you more vulnerable to COVID-19, seek independent medical advice before attending your RDA Centre. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap is not available, use an alcohol based hand sanitiser. Present yourself for a compulsory temperature check on arrival at your RDA Centre, follow the instructions from Centre Personnel and sign the attendance register and or scan the QR code to register your attendance on the mySAGOV App. All volunteers and staff providing physical support for a client must wear a face mask if a distance of 1.5m cannot be maintained for the duration of that support. Thank you for your support and understanding during this very difficult year and a particular big shout out to all of our amazing volunteers and staff who've adapted practices and processes along the way (multiple times!) so that sessions can continue and people can keep doing the things that they love. If you're not sure what to do when attending one of our Centres, speak to our volunteers for direction and support. Looking forward to finishing the year on a positive! Stay safe everyone. Regards Justin Dent RDASA State Manager
21.01.2022 Good Afternoon All, We have been reviewing the evolving COVID 19 situation here in SA over the past 24 hours, particularly the impact of the latest positive test identified this morning. At this point in time, there are no changes required to RDASA Service, or the manner in which we delivery the Service. ... Therefore scheduled service and end of Term work can continue at all sites as planned. The primary responsibility for all of us when attending an RDASA site is to ensure that everyone diligently uses the QR Code or Manual Check in procedures. It is this process that enables us to keep our doors open as we can assist SA Health if need be, to track the movements of anyone who has come onto our property. In addition to this, please continue our good habits of hand washing and physical distancing on site. We will continue to monitor the situation and be guided by Government if any changes are necessary. Thank you for your ongoing work and support. Regards Justin Dent State Manager
20.01.2022 We’ve recently taken delivery of some portable hand washing stations as a result of a COVID safe Grant from the State Government. These will be delivered to all SA Centres in the coming weeks as part of our commitment to keep our people safe in a COVID environment. Thank you to the volunteers at our centres who continue to lead by example and offer our services safely to everyone. Keep up the distancing where you can, keep up the elbow bumps and keep washing your hands as you come and go from RDA! .
18.01.2022 Good Afternoon All, Following the latest release of information and Directions from SA Health and SAPOL, until further notice, the following will apply to all RDASA Sites: 1. 17.01.2022 Good Morning All, We are monitoring the evolving situation in relation to the first community transfer of COVID-19 that Adelaide has had for many months.
